Looked at it on Amazon, used the Look Inside feature, and according to the title page it's a detail from Death, One of the Four Riders of the Apocalypse by Pol de Limbourg, from Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry (see here
So u/deynos74 was right about it being French, and pretty close with late C14th, actually very early C15th, 1412-16 is when it was painted.
