Afterwards, for deeper researches, you must know that Quebec historian are mostly split in two groups :
One believes the English Conquest wasn't that bad in the end because it brought us a start of a "liberal way of life"(France was still a heavy centralized monarchy in 1763), although French Canadians were excluded from power spheres, economics and political until a very long time (End of the 1800s, early 1900s).
The other group think that the Conquest was terrible and dramatic, since the French adventure in Americas were thus brought to an end, and basically now the french people will have to fight very hard to preserve their way of life.
