Using a Displayport cable? Cheap cables never work. Half the Displayport cables that come in the monitor box are crap. I broke down and bought an Accell cable from Amazon. Fixed that issue for $20.

I bought Amazon house brand Displayport cables, HP / Monster Displayport cable. Nothing worked until I got the Accell cable. Hope that may fix your issue if you are using Displayport. I don't use the HDMI on my monitor. ;)
This. The DP cable is either too long (3M is usually maximum for WQHD/4K), or it's poor quality. The symptoms the OP are typical of cable problems. I'd recommend Accell Cables, relatively low cost, but great performance.
Thank you, i was not aware of them being so susceptible . It did come with a mini dp to normal dp cable, but its sadly enough to short, With the distance that it has to go i dont get around going with a 3m one.
I quickly checked and they do seem to sell accell here,
I contacted uGreen, and hope for a replacement, if all of that doesn't work then spending a bit extra for this certified Accell one is my only option...
A good quality DP no longer than 3 meters. I've tried longer cables and cheaper cables and had lots of issues.
Currently I use three of these and have zero issues running three 1440P @ 144hz on my monitors:
Accell B142C-010B-2 10ft UltraAV DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Locking Latches - 10 Feet (3 Meters) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CD1FB4E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_b8E6ybKQTRDYT
Actually now that I look again, I remember looking at the monoprice cables, but they only go up to 6ft long and I need 10ft for my setup. I think I'm going to go with this one instead: http://www.amazon.com/Accell-UltraAV-B142C-010B-2-DisplayPort-Locking/dp/B00CD1FB4E
Accell DP to DP 1.2 -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CD1FB4E?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Works really good
https://www.amazon.com/Accell-1-2-VESA-Certified-DisplayPort-1920x1080/dp/B00CD1FB4E
purchase this cable and try it. if it doesn't work return it and look to purchase a new monitor
The one the came with it was too short for me (I think it was 6 feet long). The one I ended up going with was this 10 foot Accell one on Amazon (or directly from Accell), which is DisplayPort certified and listed on their website.
or would you reccomend the display port insteadhttps://www.amazon.com/Accell-1-2-VESA-Certified-DisplayPort-1920x1080/dp/B00CD1FB4E/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=displayport+cable+240hz&qid=1573560034&sr=8-3

Certified cables was recommended here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3uvp02/a_holiday_reminder_on_quality_displayport_cables/
Don't crossfire is my advice. Better to get the RX 480, bound to be better than the 7790 in CF.
I'll make mention if the card (HD7790) has freesync capabilities in games etc. Now waiting for it to arrive. I think it can't do freesync in games, but I'm gonna test it. If not the dp 1.2 cable will be for a new RX 480 gpu.
Cheers
