There are these deflector things that work really well in my experience. Don’t see any reason you couldn’t print your own!

I got something similar to this, which I will try pointed upward when I get back in town. Unfortunately, my roommate has an extremely annoying cat, so I probably will not be able leave the door fully open :/. Would the vent deflector and keeping the door cracked about and inch or so help with airflow? Thanks for your help!

Yeah just rotate it. You could also buy one of these.

Put a thermometer on the floor in the upstairs area. If it is cool on the floor, and you are delivering the cool air low, then the Coanda Effect registers on the link should get that cool air up to fill the room with cool air.

I made the above and they work. These deflectors from Amazon might do the same job. I never tried them.
