I usually search "Acrylic Risers" on Amazon and scroll down to one I like. Turns out I last bought this one.

But searching for "Acrylic Risers" or even "Acrylic Spice Rack" should get you to the clear display steps that a lot of people use for amiibo, Funko Pop!, and other desk figurines.

DIY wooden builds would be another option, but by that point, you just measure and build what you want.

Hats off to ya on being oob. I do the same but save my boxes. Your shelf looks very similar to mine and might I suggest you get some of these from Amazon. They are great for adding height and depth to bookshelves.

You get the most use out of your space. They’re perfect. That little cubby shelf is so cute and seems like a perfect size for this!

I got some acrylic risers that I had on top of a dresser as my first set up. As the collection grew I ended up getting a square shelf with nine cubbies (with 11" openings) and more risers to display my collection, and eventually a second shelf and more risers. 😅

I get these risers from Amazon in mostly the smaller size (as they have a "small" and large size).

The shelves I got were from Walmart but I bet other retailers will have something similar, or maybe something else will better suit your space or asthetic preferences.

Some risers were spread in cubbies and some are on top. (Someday, eventually, I'll put pictures of my collection up).

I also have a cork board above my shelves for Tokidoki pins, stickers, or packaging. The Tokidoki 2022 calendar is hung up there too.

I started using acrylic risers for my displays and I love them.

I originally had mine on the top of a dresser and later got a couple of dedicated shelves for my display. I got a couple nine cube shelves which have been a great size with the smaller risers from the first link.

I use the smaller risers (from the first link) and even smaller acrylic display risers for the lower shelves, and use mostly larger risers for the top of the shelf.

I'll have to come back with sample pictures after I'm back from visiting family for Christmas.

All that being said, I love acrylic risers and feel like whatever shelf suits you best would be great.

After multiple Amazon returns these were the ones I kept. They are sturdy and well made. The shelves I have them on are only 10 inches deep and this riser has a bottom shelf with rubber feet so it is steady and protrudes an inch, so I can have four levels.

I actually got them on Amazon through their Prime Day deal. The ones I got are in stock right now.

Be cautious, they arent anything fancy, just plastic, so the leg in the back can sometimes break.

The IKEA Detolf cabinet is really nice. Looks fantastic, and is very affordable, I believe its 60 bucks. Ive seen so also other collectors on this sub also use the detolf cabinet, and everyone ive talked to about it loves it as well. I also use some typical acrylic risers from Amazon. Makes it so each shelf can hold around 36 amiibo (4 shelves, 144 amiibo total).

I've tried a few things based on space. I currently don't have my NiB set displayed at all; they're in boxes at the moment. For my complete OOB set, I was buying Michael's baseball bat display cases for a while. Those look nice and uniform, but if you have a larger collection, you need quite a few to keep them spaced apart and looking nice. They can comfortably hold 12-13 per case.

A pretty common thing for figure/statue collectors is the IKEA Detolf case with acrylic risers. Each row of the risers can hold about 4-5 figures, so if you do 5, that equates to 20 figures per shelf and with 4 shelves, that's 80 figures per case. For a current complete set, there are 194 figures released (plus the cereal box), so you'd need 3 cases and 12 risers.

I currently (and for the foreseeable future) am using a white hexagonal curio cabinet from Just Furniture with 8 sets of semicircle cupcake risers and these little 2"x2"x.5" acrylic containers I got from The Container Store to bridge the gaps. With the 4 tiers, this thing can hold in the neighborhood of 250 or so figures. I have all 194 figures, plus the Arwing from Starlink, a couple of Nintendo-related Totaku figures (Banjo, Conker, Mega Man, and Joanna Dark), and the "delicious amiibo" (Super Mario Cereal box) displayed in it. It's in the middle of a medium sized space. Because it's got 360 degrees of view, it's best displayed in the middle of a room rather than against a wall. You could put it against a wall, but you lose display space because you lose visibility for the back group of figures.

I am a fan of these.
