I use this one . and it works perfectly. It's simple, secure, and looks great in my car with black and red stitching.
I don't like any of those magnet mounts so this is perfect.
Try mounting one upside down on the windshield?
I have a 2014 with the stock radio (no touchscreen) and I can fit an Aduro U-grip to the left of it (highly recommend, cost me $10 and I've been using it 4 years in 2 cars, have bought for 2 other people.)
I'm not sure if it would work with the touchscreen though since it's taller.

I got this thing and it's still going strong 2 years later.
Have to re-adhere it about once every 6 months.
I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-UNI-SPH01-CM-Universal-Windshield-Smartphones/dp/B008ALV0V4/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1458622079&sr=1-1&keywords=Aduro+U-GRIP+PLUS+Universal+Dashboard
I just have it slapped on the dash next to the instrument cluster. Cheap and works fine, has a little wobble but doesn't bother me.
Edit: works with my iphone6 and nexus 5x no issues
It seriously only took about 10 minutes. Took longer to find the machine screw in my garage than it took to mount the thing.

There is the mount I used. Its one of the few I found that can handle the galaxy note series of phones.
I have had one of these for over 2 years, and it is just the bees knees. It works in portrait or landscape, and can hold our G4's like a loving mother. The adhesive suction bottom is made out of some sort of witchcraft, as it will even hold fast on slightly curved bumpy parts of your dash.

Here is an alternative that is nearly identical, performs exactly the same, for less -

I've been using it since early 2014, and my S6 Edge is the 3rd phone I've put in it. Works flawlessly with all of them.
I'm using this one and it works great. Sticks well and holds my S4 with a case in it.

Well, I'm in the US but put it to the left of the steering wheel above the vent on the dash. The way I sit (I'm pretty short), this allows me to see the display right above the steering wheel very nicely. The drawback is that the charging port is on the other side.
Don't let the price/appearance fool you. Copycat models cost half as much but their suction ability is terrible and will fail on you.
This is simple and works with Samsung Note sized phones as well.
The suction power on this device is awesome. I just make sure to wipe dust off the dash with the back of my hand (no oils) before applying.
Had this since August 2013, according to my order history. Nice spring loaded design
I got one of these for my nexus 5, and it still fits my nexus 6 w/ project fi casemate case (a little bit of a stretch, but it fits):

I think this one is pretty fantastic for the price: Aduro U GRIP Plus $10
I don't use a case, so the magnetic ones aren't an option for me.
I got one of these Aduro U-GRIP PLUS mainly so I can put it on my dash. I have one of those TPU Case on it and it fits snugly into this device. The grip is tight and you can easily swivel the phone on the mount. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
Ok then. I'll chose between yours and this one.
I use the Aduro U-GRIP PLUS and it works like a champ with the G3.
