I use tacky glue. It's thick and I think less moisture in it. You might not notice it when only glueing a few items but when you are covering solid it makes a big difference. i like it too because you can reposition easily too.
It might work, but I'm not sure since I haven't tried it. I use Aleene's tacky glue because it's just what I've always had on hand for crafting, but I think any glue that dries clear would work. Especially if you plan to seal it afterwards.

Not bad! Practice makes perfect.
I usually use Tacky Glue because it is so easy to work with and so forgiving.
Don't bother with the shims and the dust cap removal - just hook up the woofer to a bass tone as you glue down the outer ring and you'll be able to center it quite easily.
I switched to this glue which dries fast enough that you only have to hold it on for 30 seconds or so before letting it sit (though don't bump it afterwards for another hour or so). Since I switched, I haven't needed to use pins at all.
I just use this
I pretty much use this for everything that doesn't need superglue.
I use this. It's cheap, easy to find, and does a better job imo than elmer's. I have used it to attach ears before and haven't had problems.
I did use elmer's glue all for a while, but I switched to this. I use this hair straightener set on 10, and I get decent results. As far as glue, what I do is lay down a line of glue, then set the weft on it and press with the end of a paintbrush. I wouldn't say I brush glue on top of it so much as kind of dab at it so that the fibers are covered. They should dry faster than the elmer's, and afterward I cut the glued part down to a straight edge.
hope that helps
I use this. It's pretty common in any store in the US that has a craft section, and it's cheap.
I've been using this and it works pretty well
I personally love Aleen's Tacky Glue, but Mod Podge would probably work as well. I don't recommend super glue since it can melt your foam! As for your board, I see a 20"x30" at Michael's which is what I usually get. And you can usually find easy coupons for Michael's as well!
My friend does this type of stuff (you can see her work here) and she uses Tacky Glue. Seems to work pretty well.
Aleene's Tacky Glue ( http://www.amazon.com/ALEENES-15599-Purpose-Glue-8-Ounce/dp/B00178KLEY/ ) is great.
