You’ll need this tool to synch your carbs.
It's worth it I just used it to sync a 4carb and it was like a whole new bike. You could clean and tune by ear but it only gets you so far

But you can do it without just fine if you have experience. Dealerships won't touch your bike because it takes actually thinking to fix. What general area are you located in? I might know a good indie shop or just search for one that specializes in custom built bikes, not bro choppers.
Carbs are out of sync. Runs fine to start, but after it warms up it floods.
I used these: ALPHA MOTO Universal Motorcycle Vacuum Carburetor Synchronizer Synchronization Balancer Carb Sync Balancing Gauge Compatible With Honda Yamaha Kawasaki Suzuki GS KZ XS CB 550 650 750 850 900 BMW https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MSJ7E6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8KQ9VCDSWDX0Z4NQYWJQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And here is what taught me :
These guys are great but in Glens Falls. https://www.facebook.com/CycleCarPartsRus I still go there with my 1974 Suzuki even though it's a trip.
If you are talking about Syncing the carbs, it's not as hard as you might think. The tool is not that expensive (http://www.amazon.com/Vacuum-Carburetor-Synchronizer-Carb-Gauge/dp/B004MSJ7E6) and there are plenty of videos on it. Like this one https://youtu.be/t0qf11BOx6o
An average person would have no problem rebuilding a typical motorcycle carburetor (there are a small # of really complicated bike carbs- Honda GL1000 comes to mind). Like others mentioned, you need a manometer set to synchronize the carbs if you have 2 or more. Not expensive to buy compared to what a dealer would charge to do the work for you.
That's pretty cool. I have some ideas about synchronizing, It covers it in your manual, but there is a trick to calibrating the gauges you'll need that only requires some cheap aquarium tubing and some T's.
One I used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7eeKmcrK8s
I had very good results with these - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MSJ7E6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They have both the 5mm and 6mm tubes for Hondas and Yamahas, etc. I did get some longer rubber tubing from NAPA, so they would reach the bracket hanging from my handlebars and not scratch things up.
First, I tried the homemade aquarium tubing and transmission fluid synchronizer, as found on youtube. It was a waste of time and not at all accurate.
Are you somewhere warm enough to ride? I cannot wait until the weather breaks. it's 15ºF today.
Again, good luck.
