The R510 was designed for high density. I have the 12 bay version with the 2 internal 2.5 ssd's only using 6 drive bays and its pretty quiet. I stuck a few L5506's in it and its quieter then my T610 with no drives. As for racks. I purchased one of these from amazon. I put my tower servers on the bottom shelf and put my rack servers on the upper ones.
Ah, well my friend, you've come to that cross point in life where it's time to invest in a shelf.
I have some of these Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Unit (350 lbs loading capacity per shelf), Steel Organizer Wire Rack, Black (36L x 14W x 72H) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_VZWT9K5M26E8KBT6SW00
Seem to do the job pretty well. Can get 5 to 6 .50 cal cans per shelf but since mine aren't anchored into the wall I store mags and other paraphernalia on the top 2 shelves to lessen the risk of it falling over.
Two 10's or four 5's should be fine.
I can't find the exact racks I have but my bud with a similar setup uses Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Unit (350 lbs loading capacity per shelf), Steel Organizer Wire Rack, Black (36L x 14W x 72H) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_SQVWWM3FFTGKQYVD7EN0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Here is the shelf it comes with 3, 4, or 5 platforms Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Unit (350 lbs loading capacity per shelf), Steel Organizer Wire Rack, Black (36L x 14W x 72H) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_EHJ970T8C04742VNRWJV?psc=1
Not too shabby. My first case was wood, I didnt feel comfortable leaving it alone for any longer length of time.
When its time to upgrade, I recommend one of these Itll fit 3 or 4 rigs with a couple dozens cards
I would move the betta to a covered container filled with aquarium water; move as much water as possible to another large container (i.e. large rubbermaid container, 2 5-gal buckets, etc.); and then move the tank to the new location. You can refill it with the old water, and place your betta back in.
As far as stands go, I like wire metal shelves like this. Each one can hold ~350 lbs, and you can adjust the shelf to the desired height. I definitely recommend cutting a piece of 0.5-0.75 inch plywood to fit the shelf and help distribute the weight of the aquarium. You may also want to anchor the shelf to the wall to prevent it from tipping over, since it may be top-heavy from the aquarium.
I use these racks The metal shelves are great for letting shoes air out all around, and I put my trail shoes in the bottom shelf. I also have a small silicone mat underneath to catch any debris and mud.
These shelves from Amazon are actually really nice. Their price has gone up a little since I bought mine but they're still a lot cheaper than a lot of shelves that people often suggest in this sub plus they hold a lot of games and are easy to put together
I use metal shelving with those plastic rings around the tube legs to adjust height, and I zip tie a grow light under each shelf. Has worked well for me.
Something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6Q6CSF5QNA7BRVGS9TYF
Be mindful of growing veggies inside. No natural pollination from bugs, so you need to give them a shake when the flowers bloom, or pollinate with a soft toothbrush, etc. Can be done, but the timing can be tricky. Herbs are much easier.
I used to use these. The shelves are wire grates, but I would custom cut mount board to fit the shelf and it just sort of laid in and functioned as a shelf. Very stable.
If you buy that sort of thing in person (like Home Depot), you can usually just pick up as many shelves and beams as you need and assemble it to your taste.
This example is massively overpriced. They are ubiquitous. Hardware stores and homeware stores all stock them.
You guys think this would work well as a tank stand for roughly a fifteen gallon tank? Thinking of grabbing a Fluval Flex and getting back into the hobby after a while.
Also open to recs for other tank kits, or even just how to assemble a set-up on my own. Looking to have a low tech planted tank, lightly stocked.
edit: seeing the width of the shelf might be an issue, so more broadly framing my question to ask if anyone has used these types of shelves to hold tanks before
They look identical to these Amazon Basics shelves. I have a set in my utility room and they're remarkably stable.
sorry forgot the link:
this can hold a lot of weight. that ikea shelf is just for aesthetics and light loads. i really dought it could hold 50 pairs w/o buckling.
the heavy duty wire shelves are neat bc they'll last a lifetime and you can reconfigure it. theres add on hooks, wardobe hangers/rods, etc.
IGNORE ALL THE COMMENTS, ITS THE AMAZON BASICS SHELF! https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-5-Shelf-Shelving-Unit-Black/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=sr_1_1?s=amazonbasics&srs=10112675011&ie=UTF8&qid=1525278671&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon%2Bbasics%2Bshelf&th=1
I bought them recently to hold my whiskey collection in the basement (because of the high weight capacity per shelf). I wouldn't put them in my living room around the real furniture, but they're great for a semi-finished basement. And $50 shipped is cheaper than some pressboard and steel utility shelves from a big box store (plus I think these look better).
Yikes. That’s a high price. You can get the Amazon Basics version for half the price.

Do you have space for a shelf? I got a wire shelf off of Amazon. Here.
Here is where I store my candles and empty jars. I just moved and am so excited to have a candle room. I’m still organizing it, but I’m happy with what I have so far!
I bought the clear boxes from Target, which hold 14 candles. I bought the black storage rack from Amazon. The gray utility storage cabinet was also an Amazon purchase from 6 years ago, so I don’t have a current link.
No pictures of the shipping storage yet, like bubble mailers, boxes, tissue, etc. I also have a small closet full of my FOs and candle making supplies.
Hope that gives you storage ideas!
Thanks. This is a wire rack from Amazon I just wrapped it in wood. I can remove the whole cover if need be. The side is a 16" shelving wood. The front is 1x4 and 1x6 pine that i stained.
I already did. I build an all steel house and designed the interior with a large walk-in closet that doubles as a grow room & storage closet. I use Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Unit (350 lbs loading capacity per shelf), Steel Organizer Wire Racks and have 8 of them so far.
I use the Amazon Basics shelving units - they're perfect for canned food storage. Also use these plastic containers for dry goods, they stack on the top shelf perfectly - 2 high & 3 wide on each unit.
They have them in different variations but this is the 5-shelf version
I just embrace the cords. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_K5J9HYCPNN2QE03N1R2E
This is what I use for mine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/. I have 2 big cages and the bin cage on it, so it or something like it should fit three 20 longs.

I just bought a half dozen heavy duty storage shelving units & am turning my bedroom closet into a huge dry goods pantry.
Thank you! They are utility shelves.
I use AmazonBasics 5-Shelf Adjustable, Heavy Duty Storage Shelving Units & IRIS USA TB-17 Stack & Pull Storage Boxes. They're not watertight, but it would easy to fabricate gaskets to seal them up. Makes a fairly efficient storage system.
I'm currently working on this myself. The resource I'm using the most is the van life blogs and YT channels. After all, a van made for boondocking is a tiny room that must hold a bed, kitchen, and computer or work desk. Here's how I'm doing this - KuriTokyo has a post below recommending IKEA loft beds - I looked at them myself and they're good options. However, I remembered that I had 10 LACK tables ($10 each) in storage from an outdoor party I had a couple of years ago. I downsized and did a little redneck engineering at the same time by hand making some brackets to hold 8 of the tables together. I used plastic gift cards to make the brackets and a soldering iron to melt holes for the screws, but metal brackets can be purchased at a hardware store for a few dollars. 4 LACK tables, stacked and secured together with brackets on each end, will bring your loft to about 4-1/2 feet in height. I then bought a full sheet of marine plywood (no voids) from the hardware store, plunked it on top, and tossed my memory foam mattress on top of that. Each LACK table can support 200 pounds, so you could probably jump up and down on this arrangement with no trouble.
I'm middle-aged and a bit of a "clydesdale" so I need a little more help getting in and out of my loft, so I bought 3 good quality wood boxes, broke out my redneck gift card brackets again, and bought a couple of wheels. I screwed them all together and made a staircase, which I just store under the bed when I'm not sleeping in it.
The kitchen is a work in progress, but I've ordered this https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-5-Shelf-Shelving-Unit-Black/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=shelves&qid=1610611355&sr=8-3 and some 2x4's to screw large wheels on the bottom. I plan to adjust the height of the various shelves, wrap one at waist height with aluminum (I've salvaged aluminum sheets that are just right balance of bendy from a couple of old baking sheets), and have bought a butane stove (I'll wait on the microwave until someone in neighborhood gives one away). I've already salvaged one of those college room sized dorm fridges from a dumpster. My pantry is already set up in sweater storage boxes that are stored on the LACK tables/loft.
Sorry no pics, as I'm on break at work, but you'll be able to look this stuff up and get a feel for it.
I’ve only had them a week but so for they’re working great.
I’m pretty sure it’s this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_ZiF9FbW0MTE2F
Pretty sure I picked mine up at a Home Depot...
Amazon has them as well.

I also bought an identical one amazon here: AmazonBasics 5-Shelf Shelving Storage Unit, Metal Organizer Wire Rack, Black (36L x 14W x 72H) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dqobEbC3QR84M
Although they're not necessarily 'purdy,' I've found these from Amazon (at around $55)
to have the highest 'utility to price' ratio. You can even customize the height of the shelves.
Best bet is to use these, and then ventilate your room if you have a lot of equipment.
