Any stylus for capacitive touch screens will work.
You can try the Amazon Basics one
I think there are even cheaper options on Amazon as well. You just need to look for Styluses with that round black nib.
>I don't even have the meaty masculine hands of a real man
I laughed out loud at this. It's been a long day at work, and this made my day better.
The switch needs a capacitive stylus. I recommend the amazon basics stylus. It has 3 different sized points.
Some might think $8 is too much for a stylus though, but I can say this one feels great and is high quality.

Otherwise, you can probably find one at the dollar store or wherever for cheap.
The DS screen [like a lot of POS systems] is resistive, so it works when top layer of the screen it deformed by pressure to touch the next layer of the screen. This means it can work with anything applying pressure, including a stick of plastic, which is all the DS stylus is.
The Switch screen [like most modern smart phones] is capacitive. So it works by an electrode layer detecting the resistance of what touches it. So you need something like a finger, or Capacitive Stylus. These could easily be packed in with a game. Hell, they'd fit in a standard game case.
I had a Dragon Touch X10 for about a year until it died (honestly, it never worked right from day one). From what I remember, it didn't have any modern stylus technology, so you'd be limited to drawing with a cheap, fat, non-pressure sensitive capacitive stylus like this...

Buying a Bluetooth drawing stylus wouldn't really work because while it would be able to report pressure sensitivity via bluetooth, your device would lack the position circuitry needed by a Wacom (and S-Pen), Microsoft N-Trig pen, or Apple Pencil compatible stylus.
> capacitive stylus
Oh sorry I didn't make it clear, I wanted the pen support to also be pressure sensitive. I did research on this and found that capacitive stylus were just basic stylus.
For something more accurate, Ive seen people recommend these types as well, as despite the disk at the tip, the system only registers the fine point in the center of it.

This is a stylus that will be good.
This might work. Amazon Basics stuff is usually solid and it's 8 bucks so if it turns out to not be great then it's a pretty small investment.
Shortly before this game came out, I purchased a stylus from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008HJGPVO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ). I didn't end up using it until I'd started playing DL, and found my finger was getting tired from all the tapping. The stylus works great on my Pixel, and I couldn't recommend it enough for this, as well as other games. It also keeps my finger from obscuring the screen as much, which in DL can make me not see a danger zone.
I've been told by other people that I don't look like I'm playing a game when I'm using it. People have just assumed I'm doing something important or work-related on my phone, so I guess that's an added perk I hadn't expected.
I have tested the stylus on an iPhone and a Samsung Galaxy and found those screens to be less responsive, at least when typing using it. If you are interested in a stylus, I'd make sure to do some research to make sure the one you're considering is compatible with your phone.
> if only we could get a switch mouse/stylus
they are with capacitive stylus' though.
for example:
You can also get a Stylus. :)
