Use a foot rest, had this issue bc I met the weight but the minimum height for the Aeron C and the foot rest made a big difference. Without the footrest, the lip of the seat causes a numbing pressure on my thighs.
I got this foot rest, but there are others available so see what works best for you.
ErgoFoam Adjustable Foot Rest... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PWT8X6K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Any foot rest would do the job well! I'm short so my feet don't touch the ground when I'm sitting at most desks and a foot rest always does the job. I like the ones that are at an angle like this https://www.amazon.ca/Mind-Reader-FTREST-BLK-Adjustable-Height/dp/B01MSQDE0U/
I don't have this problem, but you could always get a desk foot hammock. They attach to your desk and is elevated, so it'll be out of the way of your wheels.
Here is Amazon link for it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSQDE0U/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_56keEbNZBVMH8 It does raise a good amount and can be almost flat to the floor. Does tilt forward and backwards. Really good foot rest
Weird, that didn't work for me either.
But I found the link, thanks anyway.

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Adjustable-Safety-Walk-Construction-FR530CB/dp/B0000AI45T
I’ve had it for nearly 10 years, no issues. I bought it because it’s adjustable, so I can fidget with the tilt with my feet while I’m sitting. It’s tight enough to stay in place while I’m at rest, but easy to move when I need to.
The grip on the footrest is good, and it has 4 grippy feet made out of the same material. Not sure how it would perform on a wooden floor. Probably not as good as rubber feet.
It’s also really wide, which supports lots of changes in sitting position.
And it’s by far the best looking one I could find at the time.
There are other options though - like the foam ones - so it’s worth a google or a trip to an office furniture store.
It is very comfortable. It’s a 3M 22-inch footrest that I got on Amazon, but I see that it’s currently out of stock. This one’s made of solid metal, and the alternatives I see are all plastic-y.
I’m 6’ and I hated that feeling when my desk is at 30”. My solution was getting this foot rest thing (link below) and it’s night and day difference. So much more comfortable.

I really like it actually. It’s soft but firm. Only thing is you have to vacuum it occasionally because stuff sticks to it. Other than that, it’s great.

This is one that many recommend. I have a cheaper one, but this is height adjustable, which would be really nice.
Yeah I like it a lot I notice that it has help alleviate back pain for me. I would say this particular for me I noticed that I had to wear some kind of shoes while using. This worked out fine for me since I tend to wear slippers in the house.
I will say it is on the pricier side so you may be able to find something at a better price range.
This is a decent budget adjustable footrest: (HUANUO Adjustable Under Desk Footrest](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L3RVF7C/)
For stronger build quality and a greater range of height adjustability without breaking the bank, there's the Workstream by Monoprice Height-Adjustable Standing Footrest, Steel
I'm very short so I get this with pretty much any chairs. My solution was to buy one of these and it's helped a lot. They do one without the height adjusting block thingy that you might not need.
I can recommend this for ur feets or similar brands https://www.amazon.com/ErgoFoam-Adjustable-Premium-Footrest-Comfortable/dp/B07PWT8X6K/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3OJQ4JVY3LDZ9&keywords=ergo+foam&qid=1643512310&sprefix=ergo+foam%2Caps%2C153&sr=8-5
I bought a cheap "pillow" footrest on Amazon and it was... Ok. Then I got this wooden one and it was a game changer. Would recommend.

>If you have a tower computer put it on that.
Ha, this is actually what I do at home. It's a nice warm $1500 footstool.
Do you know how much elevation is needed to get that benefit? I'm wondering if something like this is still effective, or if it really needs to be something that holds my legs more even with my hips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSQDE0U/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_KKRFGF68653DS8QW9D31
I know this is an oddly specific question but you seem like a veteran foot elevator.
This is the one my wife and myself use. She does not game but she works a lot on the computer. This works wonders for your feet!!!! I got a Herman miller, highly recommended if you work from home. I too am a shorty, I got a nice footrest to rest my tootsies. 😂 It’s a great combo! So comfy.
Try a pillow if that works and you want to save money. I use this rest from Amazon works for my leg height, only complaints are could be longer and it is pretty squishy so ur feet can sink in and get hot, works for me tho.
I think the mini fridge or plants comments are good ones. A good chair is great too but can be hard to pick for someone else and can be expensive for a good one. Something simple I highly recommend is a foot pillow foot pillow.
I bought this foot rest and I use it to cross my legs on the Aeron. Not a perfect solution, but it helps A LOT. https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Under-Desk-Footrest-Circulation/dp/B07L3RVF7C/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=foot+rest&qid=1627606313&sprefix=foot+rest&sr=8-5
Footrest is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PGLBCFG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If I bought another one I might look for a gray/charcoal color... because lint and other junk from the floor sticks out on the black, but a quick vacuum every few weeks keeps it clean. As far as functionality goes, stays put and very comfortable.
I use this foot pillow at my desk at home. I love it!
Late to the party, but do you have a footrest? All chairs are uncomfortable to me unless I have a footrest. I have this Kensington one under both my desks, and a cheap Amazon Basic one under my workbench. Kensington Foot Rest (Amazon)
Without a footrest I get pain under my legs where they meet the edge of the chair. (I have Titans now, but similar in design and I suspect firmness to the Hero) 6'3", 240 lbs, muscular. I have lower back issues, which these types of chairs deal with amazingly.

Edit: Sorry, realized you were in the UK. Here is theAmazon UK link for metric folks.
At first I was looking for a chair with a leg rest as well but over time have come to the conclusion that higher quality chairs tend not to have a footrest and the footrest that comes with most chairs are so flimsy it defeats the purpose.
Instead a separate footrest from the chair will be way better for comfort and posture. Foot Rest
Something like the foot rest above will accommodate any height essentially, doubles as a rocker for increased circulation, and has been awarded best foot rest from various websites.
Based on your budget I have a tough time recommending you a product that I feel confident in and something that you will be happy with as well. I think the Staples Hyken makes the most sense but if you can save up for the $300-$400 range a bunch of top tier used items and new affordable quality chairs come into play.
I have one. It is the Kensington Footrest
It is nice, but I dislike the lock being at the bottom as it is easy to accidentally unlock with your foot.
It is a foot hammock that I found on amazon. I'm relatively short and I also like to lean back a lot when I play games. Because of how short I am and how high up to the desk I need to be my feet don't touch the ground so long gaming sessions tend to hurt my hips and low back way more than the average person. Ever since I got this foot hammock it has helped tremendously on my everyday long gaming sessions.
I've been using this. It's pretty nice.
Bought one of these to help keep my feet lifted but I gotta say, still fall asleep no matter how long I keep them lifted Foot Hammock
Yeah, it's a foot rest! Bought it from Amazon. Get's kinda smelly LOL
I had good luck with my kitchen chair, but I stole my husband's adjustable height foot rest (it's a taller chair) and bought a set of chair cushions (the lumbar + posture/U-shaped seat cushion).
It worked well the last flare up, but this one I haven't quite gotten comfortable. I'm assuming it's because I'm having trouble with that position overall right now.
A good list. I would also add a foot rest with a couple configuration options. Once I got one for my home office, I was much more comfortable and focused. I recommend this one:

I've had this before I got my aeron and it works well. There are others that do the same kind of thing, but this one is the one I went with. It should help

Adjustable foot rest. I use this one and it's does exactly what I need it to do.
It's sort of similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Under-Desk-Footrest-Circulation/dp/B07L3RVF7C/ref=sr_1_19?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&dchild=1&keywords=Office+Footrests&qid=1604115299&s=office-products&sr=1-19&ts_id=1069198 My daughter used it under her desk at work so we didn't actually buy it.
The foot rest is a game changer for me personally. I’m 5’9” and with my chair leaning back my feet didn’t touch the ground. This fixed that, plus it is really nice and cushy. I got one used for like $25 on amazon. It looks white in the pics but the one I got was gray. I spray painted it white to match my setup.

Not a big brand or anything, but it was amazon choice so I figured I’d try it out and I really like it. If your desktop is really thick or has an apron you’ll have to drill a hole through the bracket and tack it to the underside of your desk, but other than that it’s been great!
Great purchase. Didn't realize how much I would like it.

Definitely! It’s this one. It does the job but I feel like a memory foam foot rest would be a lot more comfortable! But it’s not bad at all for the price

I used to put my feet on the wall, wife said that was a no no. So i get this nice hammock instead. Amazon. Like $12
oh, haha! what you are seeing is a foot stool:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AI45T
Actually a great little thing to have around. It helps to keep my legs at 90 degree angles and push my back up against my chair. I had realized I would often put my feet on my chair legs or even sit cross legged in my chair - this is much better. EDIT: wow the price sure went up on Amazon, I got this for $50 a few a months ago
I use this one. Fucking love it, so comfortable. https://www.amazon.com/Kensington-SoleMate-Adjustable-Footrest-K56144USF/dp/B004UQ40IS/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1478875482&sr=8-17-spons&keywords=foot+rest&psc=1
Here's the footrest. The memory foam feels amazing, especially during long sessions. You can also adjust the angle of the footrest very easily to get that perfect fit. Definitely would recommend it.
Edit: Posted incorrect link previously
The footrests are awesome and make a big difference for me. I bought mine personally and have brought it to every job I've had (not to client sites, just my office).
Don't buy a cheap $30 plastic one. They break real quick. 3M makes a nice steel one for $50-$70 that might outlast me. I've had it 6 years and it shows no signs of wear.
Here's the one I recommend: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AI45T/
