Just get this bad boy off of amazon.
I got it a few months ago it is great.
my friend had a chair that I liked and said he got it on amazon. I bought what looked like his chair and he confirmed it was the same chair. However, it wasn't the same, sort of a knock off. still very comfortable and soft. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=sxr_rr_xsim_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3397508887125430297&pd_rd_wg=mTpGj&pf_rd_r=Z39K0ZC402TERYYVV980&pf_rd_s=desktop-rhs-carousels&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B00XBC3BF0&pd_rd_w=o...
Just get the Amazon basics office chair at least its "better" than this.
But my momma always said never cheap out on the things that connects you to the ground (shoes, tires, socks, chairs, bed) and following her advice I just got a refurbished steelcase leap v2 for like $200.
Then I recommend an office chair. For $250 you could definitely find a very nice one. I have one as simple as this and found it much better more comfy and longer lasting than a $130 gaming chair that had peeling leather in just 1 year.
To be honest, I cheaped out on my gaming chair and just went with the $100 Amazonbasics high back executive chair. I'm really glad I did because it's actually a great chair. Nothing fancy like lumbar support but it is adjustable in a couple ways but most importantly it's still comfortable after two years with no signs of wear. I'm at my desk for at least 4 hours a day (sometimes 12) either gaming or working on my degree so it's gotten the rounds. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_2ZIWAbHCS6CM8
Check out the Amazon Basics high back chair. AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_qUqXzb32K0W56
I have the Mid-Back version because I have back problems. But it has been a good chair so far. Adequately soft and tilts which is hard to find in that price range. Handrests are not adjustable but most ppl don't need it anyway.
Personally, I recommend this
It's cheap and you'll get more than your money's worth. I've had mine for a year with no trouble.
Office Depot and Staples often have a decent number of chairs in-store that you can sit in to help decide what you want. What seems to be the best reviewed budget-friendly traditional office chair is the AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair.
Amazon basics full back chair is actually pretty nice. I have one and like it a lot. 5'10", 215 pounds.
Is it really worth it? I didn't want to break the bank so I bought this one from Amazon. It's pretty nice. A helluva lot better than the previous piece of garbage I got from walmart.
How much does a fancy chair like that cost? And how comfortable is it?
This is basically my exact chair, would it be worth it to replace?
There's a lot of great recommendations in here for high quality chairs... if you have the budget.
I'm definitely no expert on office chairs, but if your budget is strictly around $100, the "AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair" that I have linked below, might be a reasonable option for you. It has over 500 reviews, with a 4.5 star rating. That many people reviewing it, must hold some value to it. For $109, with 2 day prime shipping, it sounds like a steal. Even has a solid amount of cushion.

They are, I wasn't sure what your budget was so I was throwing out the best chair on general. I've been looking at this for a bit (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XBC3BF0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_2&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) sadly there is no head rest but, it not a deal breaker.
~~And if you're looking for something cheaper, or you don't have a staples nearby,~~ ~~AmazonBasics sells a decent quality one I'm sitting in right now~~
Didn't notice the weight requirements, 250lbs limit
I need a new desk chair, which is pretty important to me because I work from home. I've already been to my local university surplus several times and I wasn't impressed with their selection. I'm thinking about something ordering something online like the Amazon Basics executive chair. I don't even know what I'm looking for, to be honest. Or maybe a mesh back chair like this? Honestly, I'm pretty clueless. I would love suggestions on either specific chairs, or what to look for in general.

So i built a whole setup for about 2k dollars pre tax. It has 2 1080p 144hz monitors, a sickass keyboard and a macrogod mouse.
You can also fit a Office chair for about 110 dollars more. For a grand total of 1.9k dollars

I ordered mine on Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dVFsDb1PMNHCF
Easy to build, classic exec style, and very comfortable and sturdy
FWIW try the one on amazon, not much more expensive and tons of cushion - https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Back-Executive-Chair-Black/dp/B00XBC3BF0/

any office chair works fine. i got mine through office depot for like $100 it’s like a decent/fancy one i have this one
Nothing fancy, currently have THIS CHAIR but I'd be open to getting something else if it wasn't too expensive.
I have the amazon basics office chair and it's relatively comfortable.
AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Swivel Chair - Black with Pewter Finish https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dcmCCbWX939QR
A little pricey but I HAD to buy this after sitting on it at a friend's place. It is the comfiest desk chair I've ever sat on. I've been using it for 2+ years and it has yet to let me down.
a bit over your budget but I love my https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Back-Executive-Chair-Black/dp/B00XBC3BF0
I've been using this, and I've been liking it a lot.
Had foot surgery, so I had plenty of time sitting down in it.

Shit... I just use One of the Official Amazon chairs.
It is nearly identical to this one (minus the flip up arms): https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-High-Back-Executive-Chair-Black/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=pd_sim_196_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=K7SDP5XJAFTFSHPXP4XB
Well, on closer inspection, it is NOT my chair, but it's similar. OP's definitely looks more padded, though.
I'm still shopping around myself, in the same pricepoint. Here are two that have been suggested to me:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XBC3BF0?psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/Merax-High-back-Ergonomic-Leather-Computer/dp/B012MVIUGA
The best reviewed budget office chair is probably the AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair, though the Ikea Markus seems to be mentioned a lot as well.
What kind of price range are you looking at, and are you thinking more along the lines of a traditional plush leather office chair or a more modern-looking breathable mesh chair such as a Herman Miller Aeron with a headrest?
All seem to be nice choices.
This one has a lot of good reviews
If you want more of a gaming chair, Vertagear has one that is competitively priced:
The chair was $109.99
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XBC3BF0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The clamps were $34.95 per. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PZDB2HM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fairly nice chair, too!
This, this, and this, are some good cheap choices for a new chair around $100. For the $200-$300 dollar range, this is comfortable and well made, and this is essentially a leather chair on a swivel, will last long, but no back support. If you still want a DX Racer, here's a DX Racer chair from their Formula series, but cheaper than on their website. Lastly, this is something very similar to the DX Racer, with about the same reviews. I'll leave you to decide between those.
So I just ordered this and I love it! It's cheap and has solid support for the lower back. It's definitely the best I've had yet.
I don't know dude, it's been 7 months and it's still rocking like day one.
AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair - Black https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00XBC3BF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vO4UAb0ZH6W1M
I recently bought this chair because I was on a budget as well.
Before that chair, I was using this chair.
My back has thanked me ever since I made the switch
Microcenter has a chair that's similar to those DX-Racers.
About 150ish if you're near one.
Otherwise, This one is comfortable and cheap.
AmazonBasic office chairs are the best. For 130$ CAD it's an high quality chair.
I do prefer the Herman that I have at my office, but I don't regret my chair from Amazon.
