just buy the amazon basics stand with the savings.. still cheaper, or find a even cheaper stand that fits your needs.. no drilling required, just a screw driver
I actually went with the lg 27gl83a-b. It's very similar to the LG 27GL850-B but you don't get the USB hub. And I read that it just does sRGB so you don't get over-saturation issues like with the GL850.
Keep in mind, my job was paying for this monitor so I didn't want to purchase something was was too expensive. The 27gl83a-b is 280 right now which is reasonable for a 1440p monitor. The GL850 is 250. Monitors over 350 is not what we usually pay for and the extra features would be viewed as needless.
I also bought this stand from Amazon.com (will return if I don't like it):

I actually like the Dell business stands. When work sent us our dual Dell U2412Ms home for the pandemic, I mounted them on an old vivo stand to save space and it took like an hour to setup the height correctly and tighten the stands (and of course now the height is stuck there). The Dell stand with spring-loaded height adjustment just works^tm. The only adjustment needed on those is spring resistance. Amazon single stand prices are around $30, but the one that comes closest to the Dell stand is $50, and that one doesn't even swivel horizontally. If I were to actually do a proper stand upgrade, I'd splurge for gas spring stands.
Look for linus tech tips all amazon basics build video to see it in action.
I'm not sure about the PG348Q specifically, but as long as it's attached via VESA I don't see why not.

Would something like this suit your needs?
Edit: obviously this isn't suitable for larger display, just trying to get a feel for what you are looking for.
Bought this on sale at best buy and using a gtx 1080 to power it. Seems to be running very nice. Does anyone know if this monitor riser would be okay to use since the stand that comes with it is a bit too low. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-K001575-LCD-Monitor-Riser/dp/B01IFTYW3I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1511926676&sr=8-4&keywords=monitor+stand+vesa
The VESA mount is wonderful. It's great being able to move the monitor around freely and rotate it. As I mentioned, the 24" display spends most of its time in portrait mode next to whichever PC I'm using - the MBPR15 or ThinkPad Yoga 460 (14" WQHD, 210 PPI). But it's easy to move it around, e.g. to watch a movie.
For a less expensive, more compact rotating mount, this AmazonBasics LCD Monitor Riser looks pretty nice too.
The pixels per inch on those 34" monitors is extremely low. Their 2560x1080 resolution only gives you 82 PPI! Compare that with your MBPR's 221 PPI.
Another way to look at it: those monitors have 6,678 pixels per square inch. Your MBPR15 has 48,636 pixels per square inch. So where you see one big pixel on those monitors, the MacBook gives you more than seven pixels. It's a huge difference in clarity. Personally I would not enjoy a monitor like that after the high-DPI MBPR and ThinkPad experience.
I used one for an Acer monitor (different mount but same concept) and it worked well. I paired it with this stand because I was too lazy to put it on the wall.
What I would do is get one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IFTYW3I/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
It sits on the desk and is very sturdy and will hold your monitor most likely, just be wary of putting it in portrait mode because it might not go all the way.

Yup.... Well worth owning. BUY IT.

Just got mine Friday and couldn't be happier. The only negative is the stand. It's complete garbage. I bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IFTYW3I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it's really stable now.
The picture.. Wow! Can't say enough good things. Have had a 27" TN before and moved on to a 4K IPS that I still have , but this Viotek is right there with my IPS. Tiny difference but will all the benefits of the TN.
Ordered directly from Viotek website and they were fast. Ordered Tues, got Friday. (NH) but the box showed up with a good size gauge in it from shipping. They don't use a double box system, however, it didn't hurt the monitor at all.
Just buy it and you'll be happy.

Good luck
I think its VESA - if so Amazon has a amazon basics single stand.

there are a couple on there.

I use this one for my 34” UW
