Despite the "basics" name, Amazon actually makes great cables and they're pretty budget friendly too.
AmazonBasics 2 meter USB extension cord should serve you well.
How far away is the keyboard from the receiver? Ik they can't be too far apart or the connection will break up. You could use a USB extension cable like this
(Amazon Basics USB 2.0 Extension Cable - A-Male to A-Female Adapter Cord - 6.5 Feet (2 Meters) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH136GE/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_5E3VBJFWWA4S421R75FF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
to get the receiver closer to you.
Yes. They will tell you that you don't need line-of-sight for Bluetooth to work. But in the case of those tiny USB Bluetooth dongles, it absolutely helps.
The key is to get that tiny dongle out from back behind your PC case, and get it on top of your desk. Or somewhere else where it has line of sight with your Bluetooth devices.
The important part is that you need to use a USB 2.0 extension cable. Do not use a USB 3.0 cable.

To be honest we've never tried to use it with a monitor, but it may work. The Miracast is just a HDMI dongle. It has a USB cable for power, so you'll either need a USB port on your monitor, or to be able to plug it into the back of your PC, or you'll also need a USB extension cable like at this Amazon link.
Oh wow that’s pretty far. I often use the Amazon basics usb extension cables. I like the modularity. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cable-Male-Female/dp/B00NH136GE/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=usb+extension+cable&qid=1613207431&sprefix=usb+exte&sr=8-3
I use a regular Samsung charging cable and attach a USB extender, it still fast charges and I have no issues. I love these usb extenders because I can use it with any cable I want, I use about 4 different usb extenders in total for my ps4, computer and phone.
Most likely the dongle is malfunctioning and is "leaking" radio waves that are causing interference to nearby devices.
As far as getting it to not interfere, do you have USB extension cable (USB A Female to Male) So that you could move the USB dongle further away from the mouse?
If it moved further from the mouse it may no longer cause the interference.
A usb cable like this
I'd try putting the unifying reciever on an extension and hiding it somewhere near to where you typically use the keyboard/mouse.
Ok, great. I think the WiDi adapter only needs USB 2.0 though? I've got a basics cable coming https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NH136GE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
so hopefully that will work... if not I will try yours. Thanks!!
I have been very happy with my Corsair Strafe RGB Silent and the cable is fairly long. However, I wouldn't limit yourself based on cable length and spend $5 to get a USB extension cable.
Have a USB extender go to your handle bars smaller and not as tacky looking and have the actual 12v socket port by the top case with a USB converter plugged in
USB extension cable. Smoother than the smoothest breakaway on an Xbox controller.

It comes with an adapter that plugs into the wii tar, but the cord is really short, so you might need to also get a usb extension cord https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Extension-Cable-Male-Female/dp/B00NH136GE/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=usb+2.0+extension+cable&qid=1560131810&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
any usb a extension cable (like this) will work fine
It is possible for a Bluetooth USB adapter to be good, but not in the way that most people use them.
The key is that you shouldn't plug it directly into the back of your PC. You need to plug it into a USB 2.0 extension cable. Do not use USB 3.0. And as much as possible try to maintain line-of-sight between your Bluetooth receiver and your devices. It just not need to be perfect. Just roughly open space between the receiver and devices. This is where that extension cables in handy.

Ahhh I see you can buy an extender to help with the length.

I don’t know about a wireless controller with a headphone jack, but you can get a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 extension cable to use a wired controller. Here is an example
I’ve actually had this same issue! What I did was watched this video. It gave me a very cheap option for around $20. What you will need to get is a usb fan and a usb converter so you can plug it in the wall. I just taped mine to the side of the enclosure, works wonders, and it’s quiet. You can also aim it whereever you want, so you can have varying levels of coolness. Works for land and water. Here’s the link to the stuff:

Let me know if this helps!
May be a dumb question, but has anyone tried the AmazonBasics USB 2.0 Extension Cable for moving the Bluetooth adapter away from interference, or would I have to get a specific USB 2.0 extension cable?
If you're willing to go over budget by a bit, this would probably be the best ideal wireless option:
However, if you need to stay under $20 then something like this:
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wQmLrH/tp-link-wireless-network-card-tlwn725n
Plus a USB 2.0 extension cable like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NH136GE/
Will work really quite well. You need to use the extension cable for best results. This allows you to move the wireless adaptor away from any soft of electromagnetic interference that the PC may generate, as well as giving you the flexibility to position the adaptor in the ideal place to get a good signal.
It's also important to use a USB 2.0 cable, not 3.0. USB 3.0 sometimes causes interference and other issue for cheap adaptors like this. Also, this adaptor will limit you to a maximum bandwidth of 150mbps. However, this is still faster than most people's home internet connections, so it probably won't be an issue.
What may be an issue sometimes with any wireless option is latency. If you are a competitive online gamer, wireless will always be an inferior option to Ethernet.
Either one of these could work -
USB 2.0 male to female :
USB 2.0 to Micro USB :
You may need the 3.0 versions of these cables though. 2.0 might be too slow.
Thanks worth at least trying. Something like this yes
Here's a 6.5ft USB extension cable. It's USB 2.0 Type A, but you can find them in plenty of varieties and as long as 15 feet.
