Used to work in the hunting industry in Texas, and this is a pretty common occurrence with Jeep's/Mercedes (No clue why those two.)

My advice?

Get a rag or cloth or some kind, and get you some of this

Trust me, works like you wouldn't believe. Stick it a corner of your engine bay away from anything hot, up high, and re-spray it once every few weeks.
