That should be adequate, I have used that scale before. Just make sure you calibrate it properly before weighing. I would personally invest in something like this:
You can use filler if you need less in a pill. So, for example, say you want 200mg Calcium per pill, but if you were to fill the pills, you'd have 500mg in each one. So, you take some other substance, e.g. sodium, and mix that in. We could take 2 ounces of calcium powder, and 3 ounces of sodium. Mix them together then put the contents in the pill making machine and you should have about 200mg of calcium per pill.
What I like to do instead, which costs a bit more money, is just buy the smaller gel cap machine. The size 1 gets me much closer to my goal with less or no fillers for the smaller doses like calcium.
The scale can be used to weigh filled pills afterwards to see how much is actually in there. Make sure you reset the scale with an empty pill on it, so it calibrates that as 0 weight. Then when you weigh a pill, you won't be counting the weight of the gel cap pill itself. I find that size 00 gel caps weigh about 76 milligrams each. I use a more accurate scale than the one I listed, but it's 5x as expensive: [link]
This is the milligram scale I own for, eh, other consumable items whose effects are very dose-sensitive. I would recommend of course buying a decent calibration weight set that at least spans 4 orders of magnitude, especially with a "milligram" scale that doesn't cost more than $1000. I wouldn't ever use it expecting +/-0.001g accuracy for something I meant to weigh out precisely one milligram of, but it's accurate enough.
Then again, I basically have unrestricted access to USP-grade +/-0.1*mg* scales, so I haven't used it in a while. :) If you ever want something measured out painfully quantitatively, I wouldn't be opposed to helping any fellow DIY'ers out where possible.
I use this scale for mg measuring. It's good quality and reasonably priced. Beware though, fitting a full g worth of weed/shrooms on the weighing dish is going to be a challenge (with this, or any other mg scale).
I use this scale and it works great. I have tried the one you linked because multiple people online recommended it but it sucked
I have this scale btw [link] you don't even know how important it is for foxy.
This was just a one off mistake. My boy got a little over excited at the prospect of having MXE.
There's a Gemini pro that I'm assuming would fit your needs
here's it on amazon
It's not hard to make caps. You'll need the following:
I haven't capped DNP before, but apparently it's quite a fine powder that stains surfaces yellow. So you don't want to cap it without gloves and mask. You'll want to do it somewhere without a breeze and put down newspaper.
Here's a thread on how to do it:
Gotta get a good scale:
I upgraded to this with this set of weights and I love it:
I would have gone with it to begin with if I had expected my nootropic use to become as heavy as it did.
Good .1mg are extremely sensitive and a pain to use. I wouldn't buy one unless you really need accuracy that high and volumetric dosing isn't an option.
