no way! I have one too, join r/Yamahabolt if u havnt already. But for me it was kinda just getting used to it, cars r a dangerous reality we all have to face and to feel more comfrotable with them get stickable small blind spot mirrors like these and learn more about spacial awareness!

Canadian Tire and Princess Auto sell plastic junk versions with very distorted mirrors and think clunky plastic frames. I have tried versions from all 3 sources and the glass ones on Amazon are worth every penny.

My SE sedan is probably the second worst car I've driven in terms of side mirror visibility, behind only the hatchback that I test drove. I'd definitely recommend a set of blind spot mirrors.

With the minor exception front pillars in cars, Mirrors can show you every single angle around your vehicle.. Maybe not the ones that came with your vehicle, but a convex mirror can be attached to your side mirrors with a pre-applied sticker in 30 seconds or less and costs less than $4 per mirror. The only reason a driver should have side/rear blind spots are if they're trying to penny pinch, or are too lazy to make the very quick modification.

the more you drive the less nervous you'll feel. My first year I was a nervous wreck. After a couple years you'll be on autopilot then driving becomes a lot more fun as you learn more and how to take little shortcuts to make driving better.

I suggest whatever you're scared of doing on the road, do as much as you can. I used to be scared taking the highway so I wouldn't. Then I told myself to stop being a bitch and I took it every single day and now I prefer it over normal roads

These help both your blind spots and parking.

For the blind spot, they sell cheap stick on convex mirrors at any auto parts or big box store. Put it in the corner of your mirror and you'll get the best of both worlds and it should fix the blind spot issues without paying for an expensive monitoring system.

They're adjustable, so that's good for fine tuning, but they don't have a static position, so you could adjust forever lol

OMG thank you so much for all the response! This was the comment I was looking for. I did test drive one at CarMax and I agree. A few adjustments and I got use to the visibility really quickly especially after adjusting the seat like others recommended. I do have use the little circle one and I have heard the big rearview one helps as well. Do you recommend these? Also, I know you mention you are tune for 93 but for a non modded v6 do you think 87 will be fine?

What you describe is used with bigger projectors to project inside of a dome shape using a single or just two standard fov projectors. http://paulbourke.net/dome/mirrordome/ This is achieved with security halfdome mirrors such as this: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2/147-0006771-3794736?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=halfdome+mirror They are rather big, but work fine.

Ive tried scaling down this technique and still use off the shelf cheap components. I dont know what their issue is, but when trying to use them with pico projectors, even with laser beam scanner pico projectors which have infinite focus, the reflected projection is extremely out of focus and muddy. You cant make out anything at all. My only explanation what happens is these mirrors have such a poor tolerance the projection pixels get all over the place. But maybe Im wrong and theres another issue causing this.

And maybe there is a better pico sized mirror I can easily source and use which I havent been able to find. I'll be glad to know of an off the shelf small curved mirror solution vs fisheye as it would eliminate chromatic aberration issue with the latter.
