I actually see the opposite is true - The trademark holder CAN sell to Amazon and forever steal the buy box, or kick other 3rd party sellers off and send C&D letters or take legal action. Ultimately unless OP has a reseller agreement that prevents them from taking it back, they can enact it basically whenever they want.
[[link] is a good example. They used to have dozens of resellers on their kits driving the price down. They shut that down and now there's no competition, but they are still selling 3P through Seller Central.
Only one way to find out...
Also Italians were once part of the Roman empire which conquered the middle east. Migration from different populations and the Mediterranean sea had a significant role in transportation of people which must of had some mingling some where down the line. He honestly looks very arab and I'm confident if he did a DNA test, he would show up as part middle eastern.
I would probably do AncestryDNA because the database is so large and its family tree interface is the best. The downside is no chromosome browser, limited tools, the whole subscription thing, doesn't take uploads.
AncestryDNA is on sale, including at Amazon, free shipping plus Prime. An email I received from AncestryDNA said the sale ends Sunday.
I like 23andme, especially its tools, like the chromosome browser and DNA painting, but so few people add surnames and even fewer add trees. It's difficult to make genealogical connections, even with closer matches.
I like FTDNA, too, but again so many don't do trees or surnames, which is strange to me because its reputation is being more oriented to serious genealogists and genetic genealogists. Maybe they're more privacy concerned? I don't know. I am also not a big fan of the family tree interface. YMMV.
Ancestry has the largest database of members, so it's definitely worth doing. Their test is on sale (40% off) until December 30th so now is a good time to order:

Now's the Time to get the kit, it's half off on Amazon for Prime Day only $50
BTW, Ancestry's DNA test is $55 on Amazon today for "Prime" day. The sale ends at 3 a.m. tonight.
Mofuckin do the test
I used the DNA tester from Ancestry.com. You can buy it for $100 Here on amazon.
Its worth the investment because, not only can you use it to see your ancestry, but also see your risk for any genetic diseases/disability.
Promethease is a third party company that can give your entire DNA genome and define what each genome means. The service charges $5.
It's useful and a good way to track you health. For example, it turns out I am susceptible to bipolar disorder, which makes sense because it runs in my family.
I recommend it for curiosity and health purposes.
Found this on one of my Facebook genealogy groups. If you buy from Amazon and add it to your cart, there's an additional 20% off, bringing it down to $63...and free shipping with Prime. I don't believe it's an affiliate link.
Of course I find this literally the day after I purchased a kit for my cousin! sigh
