I have the exact Maxliner mat that you posted in my 2018 Cx-5 and have been pretty happy with it. I like that it has a large lip that goes around. I keep my golf stuff in the trunk and it keeps all the dirt/sand/grass out of all the random gaps in the cargo area.

Picked this up not long after I got my '16.5 GT (bought new). Was concerned, because of low cost, it might be lousy but I've definitely got my money's worth out of it and like it better than the type that hangs toward the front of the opening. It's easy to toss whatever under the elastic net. I find that things don't tip over under it either.

I have the Cargotech blocks that someone mentioned here and they do work well but they're pretty large and take up room when not in use.
