The big trigger for me is the pressure of pushing down on the side of my hand. The braces are great for restricting movement, and the thumb creates a lot of movement, but I didn’t find it did anything for pressure.
Something else that helped was getting an ergonomic mouse that turns my hand sideways to use it, so I’m moving my wrist up and down instead of right and left. In all honesty, I rarely move my wrist since it’s more comfortable to move my arm in that position. And the mouse is angled just enough to keep your hand off the desk so you don’t get the pressure issue!
I don’t know why it would be the solution, but when my shoulder does it’s thing and angers my ulnar nerve, slapping KT tape on my forearm and wrist helps.
I work at a computer all day and I’ve found that replacing my regular mouse with a vertical mouse has helped immensely. My regular mouse was somehow angering my shoulder, which in turn was taking it out on my poor ulnar nerve. I’ve been using the vertical mouse since early March and it took about a week for the pain in my forearm, wrists and fingers to go away almost all of the time and for the pain in my shoulder to decrease significantly. My shoulder is still painful and more prone to subluxations that it was, so whatever the root cause is, it’s still there. However, the position of my arm with the vertical mouse really seems to avoid irritating my shoulder further.
All that to say, if you work at the computer or regularly spend a good amount if time using a computer, maybe a vertical mouse could help you too.
Try this vertical mouse out. Lots of decent reviews and got an A on Fakespot Analysis. Amazon too so you have until Jan 31 to return it if you don't like it.
Yeah I had a cheap one at work like this, and as ridiculous as it initially seems it's pretty comfortable. After having your palm face down for a while (like using a regular mouse), rotate your hand to a handshake position and see how much better it feels in your forearm
A mouse like this
Looks like you're gripping it like a vertical mouse.

I think a really good option for you would be a vertical mouse. They are meant to change your hand position into a more natural one that you use when walking (palm facing inwards). I’ve used one and it’s super comfortable but I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming or things with really fast precise movements. This is a good one: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00FGI2QVC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_PR4NF1AP7G0WYAQZR7HD
Another option would be a trackball mouse. My dad uses one for work. You only have to move your fingers so It’s good for preventing wrist pain. This is the one: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B001DQY9AW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_CARTN2E4DMVFGPRVNFXS

This mouse cured my carpel tunnel symptoms:-
To answer your question, I don't know much about it. But thought I could share which helped me.
Anker makes really good products and they have 2 versions below $30

If there's one brand I trust a lot for cables, dongles, chargers and charging banks, it's Anker. Their customer service is phenomenal.
does it have to be BT?
Here's what I use with mini-usb receiver. You can map the 2 thumb buttons still.
