I'd argue that Teflon is fine, try your best not to scratch it or use high heat. Replace when worn.
Go to your local Ross/Marshall/TJMaxx and take a look at their Calphalon or Analon non-stick options (maybe All clad if you're lucky). I recently got the following two piece Analon (10 and 12'') from Ross for about $25. They replaced a two piece All Clad set I had gotten from Amazon for 3-4x the price.
Check to make sure whatever you end up buying doesn't have scratches.
Anolon is a good bet, IMO. Get a two size set like this one. They will last you a long time and it's a good buy.
I've had these for like 6 years and use them a ton. Look brand new.
