Agreed you should always do your research, but for what it's worth it probably isn't far from the truth.
The amazon reviews are pretty stellar too. I myself gave it 5*. I am easily 3000+ hours into printing with mine with zero issues. (Bought November 2020)

Now it says limited time deal, but you can basically always get this guy for around $200. Sounds pricey though right?
Well all 6 figures ($20 each) will cost you $120! Not including shipping. And if you love Betrayal so much (and you should, it's a great game!) and you have a printer, why not print out even more? Zombies, Demons, Hounds? Print em! Closet, Secret Stairs, Skeletons? Print em!
For about $100 more than what you would spend to buy just the 6 figures, you could get the 6 figures and every mini you will ever need or want for your favorite game! Saving you a ton of money in the end.

I think resin printers would be the best. More definition. not sure the file types are compatible with traditional extrusion printers. This seems like a nice price but the prices range from as low as $100 all the way to $700
The price is really coming down. I was surprised when I started pricing them. The printer I got was about the price of a nice regular printer. It's been a lot of fun so far.
But you seem pretty handy with electronics, why not diy one? Once you know someone with a 3d printer they can print out a lot of the specialty parts. Maybe check out thingiverse, there are a lot of diy plans on there.

Can consistently get it for $200, often less. Get WATER WASHABLE resin.
One time my anycubic photons screen broke, anycubic replaced it for free. I've also heard good things about the mars but the photon mono is so good that I'll be picking a few more up for my business.
Resin printers can be had sub-$200 now, and mine prints gorgeous 28mm+ minis. All I tweaked was the bottom exposure time. Second print and all others after have the exact settings it came with.
These are all 28-32mm printed on the Anycubic Photon Mono, for which I paid $190 on Amazon. It's $240 regular price.

Amazon. I wasn't interested in waiting on shipping. I've also heard horror stories of how long it took to arrive when shipped directly from AC. I would just buy the printer and resin (I can heartily recommend AC basic gray as a starter resin) from Amazon.
