Can't comment on the PC but for a monitor a better choice for gaming would be something like the AOC 24G2U
This is a much better monitor for gaming than the Samsung. Not sure about prices in Ireland but it should be about the same or slightly more expensive. It's worth it.
I bought this recently for my setup...
Abit smaller than you want but as you can see they have some 27 - 32ins.
Mine is the 24ins, its 1080p 144hz and its great. Exactly what I was wanting.
Wie findest du den? Free synch steht tatsächlich auch im Titel
I'd stick to 1080p 144Hz for your specs. My friend has a ther AOC Gaming 24G2U and has been recommending it to everyone else for 1080p 144Hz gaming. Unfortunately the price on Amazon just went up to £197.
Thank you for the review! So removing HDR out of context, would this be the best one ?
AOC 24G2U -24 Inch FHD Gaming Monitor,144 Hz,1ms, IPS, AMD FreeSync, Ergonomic Stand, Speakers, USB Hub, Low Input Lag (1920 x 1080 @ 144 Hz, 250cd/m², HDMI/DP/VGA/USB 3.0) https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_38G8MA1MZTF928YPDRJ3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
[£45 for this keyboard) and [£15 for this mouse), both on-board with programmable keys, RGB.
£160 for this highly praised IPS 144Hz monitor.
Good fucking luck getting a PC with a dGPU, or even just the GPU alone, for £500.
Deal: AOC Gaming 24G2U -24 Inch FHD Monitor, 144Hz, 1ms, IPS, AMD FreeSync, Height Adjust, Speakers, USB Hub, Low Input Lag (1920x1080 @ 144Hz, 250cd/m², HDMI/DP/VGA/USB 3.0) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_dl_M4K6BZD3S2616RSFME7A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is the monitor I was looking and it uses the new panel not the old panda one.
I would usually criticize someone for getting a 3080 and then not getting a proper monitor, but nowadays people have to sell their homes to get one, so good job soldier, and I’m sorry for your loss.
This one is great and cheap but the price has fluctuated recently

Can you find out the speed of the ram in that desktop? You want it to be at least 3000.
It's almost impossible to get g sync at that price so change your budget or settle for free sync.
This one is great.

Hi,
i'm looking for a monitor with as little as possible input lag for the ps5, would this one be good?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-24G2U-BK-Widescreen-Multimedia/dp/B07Y3RYLVH?th=1
just to be clear i'm looking at it mostly for gameplay, and affordable, visuals kinda come second, but avoiding something like 'ghosting' or 'screen tearing' (or other visual glitches) would be important too
i don't need 4K, i would probably just use and be fine with 1080p, i'm mainly thinking about performance on ps5
No, HDMI 2.1 is a big deal because it allows 4K 120Hz. HDMI ports for 1080p/1440p @120Hz have been around for quite some time.
4K 120Hz displays are at least $1,000 and 1440p 120Hz $450.
1080p 120Hz can be done fairly cheap. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_P-GMFbHVG270Q?psc=1
Totally different - VA panel instead of TN.
I don't know anything about that monitor, but I generally wouldn't suggest a VA panel for games like Overwatch where you want as fast of a response time as possible, and color accuracy isn't super important. I would try to find an IPS or TN panel.
For ~£30 more you can get the AOC 24G2 which is one of the best 1080p/144hz gaming monitors. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-24G2U-BK-Widescreen-Multimedia/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=aoc+24g2&qid=1598924309&sr=8-1
Typically TN has the best max Hz/fps, but in 2020 you can get 144Hz IPS with a fully adjustable stand & Freesync for <£200.
Personally I am fine with a 1440p 25" pixel density per flat screen, and so going any larger or curved with less pixels and not 21:9 seems highly unnecessary (and the wide aspect would simply be to then generate a need to turn your head & maybe want a curve), but it depends on your eyesight, seating situation, and what your system can sustain for the games you specifically want to play.
IIRC there are few monitors above 144Hz but below 240Hz, at which point it's very dependant on your system & games as to whether you'll likely sustain & benefit from that, or can save your money.
Is this going to be in a 2+ monitor setup?
It comes in and out of stock a lot due to demand and COVID I believe. You can buy it on Amazon and it will ship to you when it's next in stock.
Not sure where you're based but here is an amazon Link. (looks like i was wrong in my original post slightly over $200)
Alternatively, plenty of 3rd party sites you can buy it on for instant shipping but price will be marked up.
Thanks for your help man, really appreciate it. Would this be a good monitor to go for?

Oh, you linked AOC 24G1, I thought that the AOC 24G2 wich I linked was a bit different. I see you are on amazon.de, I found this one: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=AOC+24G2&qid=1572887756&sr=8-2 But I don't know if it is the same you allready tested and specs for it say it is also only 250 in brightness.
This one is great but the price keeps changing
AOC 24G2U/BK 23.8" Widescreen IPS LED Black and Red Multimedia Monitor (1920x1080/1ms/HDMI/DP) 144Hz
I have two of these: AOC Gaming 24G2U -24 Inch FHD Monitor, 144Hz, 1ms, IPS, AMD FreeSync, Height Adjust, Speakers, USB Hub, Low Input Lag (1920x1080 @ 144Hz, 250cd/m², H https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Y3RYLVH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_z6THPjJdQgjus
i did it a few months back bought an aoc monitor. it feels much better to play.
This is what I bought recently. I'm very happy with it.
Heya! The build honestly looks pretty solid. I'll go through your questions, then suggest a couple of specs

>Is the motherboard sufficient, or am I spending too much on that?
The motherboard is a perfectly fine choice, although my general recommendation would be the TUF B560 WiFi for the 11400F. The TUF boards are always a good middle ground option in terms of features and 'performance'.

>Does the cooling/airflow look like it'll be good enough
Looks good to me, the 4000D is a fantastic airflow case and one of my favourite choices. For a lower end spec like this, I don't think you'd need the extra fans you've added. I'd personally spend a bit more on the CPU cooler and go for one of the FF100 coolers or the Cooler Master 212 BE

> Is the Asus Dual a good version of the 3060
Asus is generally considered one of the more premium board partners, but the Dual's tend to be a more basic option in their lineup. My general rule of thumb, is the ASUS cards will perform within margin of any other brand (Zotac or Palit for example, the brands PCS primarily use for their 'standard' option) if it's more, unless you're after a specific card, just get the standard option. But in this topsy turvy GPU world we live in right now, the Dual is currently a few £ cheaper.
That said in comparison to the 6600, a card that sits just behind the 3060 in performance, the 3060 is terrible value, the price difference is almost £100 for what is effectively a couple of frames.

>I also want the PSU to have some heardroom for future upgrades, so do you think the one I've picked will suffice?
Generally for better future upgradability, I spring for 750W as a minimum, especially when the price difference between the 650 and 750 is just £9. In an ideal world, you'd go for 850W which would cover you for basically any card that's currently available but does increase the price by about £30 (although some would argue that's worth it, I would)

>I'm not 100% set on it being an Intel build either, so if anyone has any recommendations on the AMD side, I'm open to that (I have heard that the Ryzen 5 3600X or 5600X might be good options too).
The 5600X is a really solid gaming CPU, although quite a lot more expensive than the 11400F, it offers significantly better performance and the platform offers much beter future upgradability (The motherboards are much better designed and the top end 5000 series chips are great compared to woeful (in the case of 11th gen).
You wouldn't be able to upgrade from 11th gen to 12th gen as 12th gen is on an all new platform so incompatible, (same for Ryzen 7000 when it realeases in late 2022) but Intel have just released their more budget non-K CPU's for 12th gen. I'm yet to see much about their performance and PCS doesn't yet have the lower end B660 and H670 boards, but it might be worth waiting a little while to see how they perform, plus on a fresh platform, upgradability factor, it'll score highly.
TL:DR AMD is a really solid choice although slightly more expensive, but Intel just releasing their 12th gen CPU's, it's worth waiting a bit to see what they're like

>Also, if any monitor recommendations come to mind, please let me know!
For this sort of build, you'd be looking at 1080p 144hz, my go to monitor for these specs is the AOC 24G2U, it's a but pricer than a 1080p 60hz panel, but my god is the jump to 144hz worth it. PCS sells this montior on their site, or you can purcahse it from Amazon here

I apologise for the length of this reply, I hope it's all helpful, but onto specs! I'll post both an 11th gen Intel and an Ryzen 5000 build in a comment below for you to decide on, but as I've said, probably worth waiting for cheaper boards and reviews of 12th gen Intel

So I've been looking at upgrading my entire setup the past few days and since this is the first time I've done this so my brain is.. completely fried at this point. Which of these 3 monitors would be best to pair with a 3070? I'm assuming the last one but I want to be 100% sure before I buy.

AOC 24G2U? At the price limit but with a highly adjustable stand and plenty of connectivity & USB3 hub.
The MSI Optix MAG241CPUK is curved VA. As is the cheaper ViewSonic VX2458-C-MHD.
I don't see the ViewSonic VX2458-MHD flat IPS as better value than the AOC.
