Getting a new PC soon (prebuilt, please no completely deserved judgment). Specs are 3080, i9-10900K, 32GB RAM. I currently use a AOC C27G1 27" Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor as my main display and I want to get a new Monitor and bump the old one down to secondary. What should I get? Would love specific product recommendations (especially with black Friday sales), or even just specs I should be aiming for. Thanks in advance!
Just recently bought this
AOC C27G1 27" Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor FHD 1080p, 1800R VA panel, 1ms 144Hz, FreeSync, DP/HDMI/VGA, Height adjustable, VESA, 3-Year Zero Dead Pixels,Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hJ7NFbE60A447
1440p 144hz good color settings , low input lag and big enough with a curve. Again it’s just a recommendation use mine as a reference if need be if you’re looking for something else, good luck man!
Check this one out. AOC has come a long way in my opinion, for $199 you get a 27" curved monitor 144hz with freesync. I was a little skeptical of the brand too but I've had nothing but a great experience. Has great reviews and if anything is wrong with is Amazon will replace or refund it with no restock fees.
Va panel
I reasearched a little and I think this looks good
AOC C27G1 27" Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor FHD 1080p, 1800R VA panel, 1ms 144Hz, FreeSync, DP/HDMI/VGA, Height adjustable, VESA, 3-Year Zero Dead Pixels,Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UM6HFbH665MJT
I picked up the 32" version of this guy several weeks ago for $300 and I flipping love it, but they have a 27" (still curved, 2k, 144hz) for usually around $220 when it's in stock: (AOC CQ27G1 - Amazon)
There's tons of options at that price point and well below, just go with a VA panel if you really don't like IPS glow. For just $230 you can get the 27" AOC C27G1. There's plenty of other options as well, the AOC is just a pretty great value.
If you want to spend more you can go with ultrawide options and/or 1440p monitors. As for HDR monitors, it's not really worth using HDR right now, as there are very few monitors that offer a great HDR experience, and they're all very expensive.
I would recommend the AOC C27G1 its a 27 inch curved 144hz monitor, with some nice extra features like adjustable stand, plus its right in the middle of your price range.
Here you go, 27" 144hz with height, swivel, and tilt adjustments, cost $260 :)
60% off any electronic is suspicious. A curved monitor like that in that size is always gonna be $250+
Did you search that model on reputable websites yet? Like amazon for instance. Please don’t buy it, dude.
I also saw this one https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C24G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=gaming%2Bmonitor&qid=1599953699&sr=8-8&th=1
How do you think that is compared to the one you linked? Does the 75 Hz vs 144 hz matter? (im sure it does but I have no clue)
Looking for a vesa wall mount for 27 inch monitor
This is the model of the monitor. Would like a stand that will support dual monitors as planning to get a smaller second monitor in the future.

cpu: by going the with 3600 it will bring this computer up to modern cpu performance benchmarks, where the ryzen 5 3600 has a 2800 single threaded benchmark vs. the ryzen 7 1700's 1700 single threaded benchmark.
cpu cooler: The stock cooler if fine.
thermal paste: I suggest this for all ryzen 3000 builds even though the included air cooler has a stock paste applied. (requires removing the stock paste with alcohol) This ensures the best thermal conductivity. This is very important because of how the new chips are designed.
memory: Blazing fast 16Gb ddr4 3600mhz 16 latency memory, the new ryzen 3000 series benefits from fast memory.
video card: as our chosen monitor is 1080p our only gaming benchmark target is gaming in 1080p. The rx 580 can be found for less than $120 used, and new it's $170. Here are the benchmarks compared with some other videocards when using the ryzen 5 3600. This is the average framerate on Ultra settings across 40 games. The button can be used to change from Ultra to High, Medium, or Low.
monitor: a 27inch (also available in 24inch for the same price, if you prefer better pixel density), 144hz, IPS (Rich color depth), 1ms (total 4ms response time), Flat not curved, gaming monitor. This monitor is new as of September this year, and offers many of the features of TN panels (fast response times) and above average motion blur for FPS style games. This should be a great gaming experience. Here is a very in depth review. A similar quality curved monitor can also be purchase for -$50
power supply: a 550w (more than enough watts), gold rated (power efficient), fully modular(easy to build with), 5-year warranty, and is currently on sale for -$20.
Something to remember too.. is that if you are changing the cpu, that you want to heat up the cpu (by running/utilizing the cpu) to safely separate the cpu fan from the cpu (after it's powered off). It should be gently twist and pull to remove.
As mentioned about 1080p vs. 1440p. I would stick with 1080p for now until you are ready to upgrade monitors and gpus to 1440p. The price for great performance in 1440p is slowly becoming more reasonable (usually a $400+ graphics cards, and a $250+ monitor). The rest of the system (cpu, mobo, psu, ram) are all ready for upgrading to 1440p after the changes.
That's about it! Let me know if you have any questions!
That monitor seems pretty good for the price. But you could also get this one https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C27G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=1080p+27%22+144hz+monitor&qid=1602139315&sr=8-3 Also, Response time doesn't matter at all, there is an extremely low difference between 1ms and 5ms and the average human response time is around 215ms. But anyways, this monitor is basically the same thing but its 144hz and has a VA panel, which is brighter with less saturated colors. Also it has Freesync.
I got this monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD5XG5G/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_pCwwFbZ8XHJ46 idk if it’s what you are looking for, but I have to say it has satisfied me.
I’m not an expert on PCs but I’ll try my best to explain.
The HDMI 2.0 port on the left supports 1080p 240hz, 1440p 144hz, and 4k 60hz. The HDMI port is directly connected to the Radeon Vega iGPU so Freesync should work through the HDMI port.
The USB-C on the LEFT is a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and it is directly connected to the Nvidia dGPU. Displayport 1.4 supports 1080p and 1440p gaming at 240hz, and 4k 60hz. The USB-C on the right is just for data transfer and charging external devices. You can charge your laptop through the left USB-C, although it is limited to 65w, unlike the full sized charger which is 180w.
I ordered this monitor for $189 and this DisplayPort cable for $15.99. I am planning to connect my monitor through the USB-C port on the left.
For monitor recommendations, I will leave a few links. Keep in mind I don’t own all of these monitors and these recommendations are based on online and YouTube recommendations.
What I ordered ($189 when I bought it)
A generally well accepted budget monitor ($154.97 at the time this was written)
A budget 144hz monitor but it’s frequently out of stock (last time I checked it was $144)
Always keep your eyes open for frequent restocks from Amazon. They tend to pop up multiple times. Don’t waste your money at Amazon buying stuff with “See all buying options”
Alright so here is your revised build by yours truly.

THE FINAL PRICE IS $1485.07
The monitor is actually only $144.99 right now on Amazon (great sale). PC part picker if a little slow to update.

I changed your motherboard to the B550 so you'll be set in the future and get PCIe 4.0 as new NVMe and GPUs release to take advantage of the bandwidth. There are other benefits as well.
I provided another solid PSU just in case you can't get your hands on the SeaSonic Focus GOLD. The EVGA SuperNOVA is a solid PSU that I can personally and honestly say is great with great warranty as well.
I changed your NVMe SSD to a cheaper, but reliable version. You shouldn't have any problems with it.
I also changed your GPU to the Sapphire Radeon 5700 XT 8GB Pulse. It is also a solid GPU for the price and performance.
Got you some more cheaper and solid DRAM as well. You can change the color to black, red, grey or whatever is available.
The PC case with the fan is nice. I was going to mess around with the case and add some RGB fans, but I think what you have for now is solid overall.
So for $1485.07 bucks what do you think?
Now I CAN save you even more if you want to drop back down to the Ryzen 2000 series, but the current build should set you for many years in the future as AMD releases their 4000 series CPUs AND as manufacturers release devices that will take advantage of the B550 PCIe 4.0 technology.

This is the correct url guys, for whatever reason despite taking the URL for the 27 inch it keeps going to the 32 inch. Correct price will be on the right sold by amazon
Edit: OOS
https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C27G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD5XG5G 1080p 144 hz 189,99 USD on amazon, great value
This one has plenty of good reviews on amazon. 144hz will change your life, I have a 1440p 144hz monitor and even though I can rarely run at the max fps if at all, it's SOOOO worth it.
If 1080p doesn't bother you and you have an amd gpu. this AOC monitor might be the best value one I have ever seen for only 230$ CAD
