Aoyue makes a few similar rework stations for a lot less money than Hakko or others, like this one: Aoyue 968A+ SMD Digital Hot Air Rework Station. I've found their irons to be nicer than the lower end Wellers for the same price, and almost as nice as the much more expensive Hakko stuff. Just a quick tip for anyone who might find one occasionally useful, but doesn't need one daily.
Hm, I haven't been crazy enough to try, but it's probably a good skill to have. I've used a hot air gun before, maybe I'll get something like this.

I'd recommend getting a solder station, preferably one with a solder sucker like this one.
I'm not a professional. I to use the hot air station for occasional soldering work. I use the Aoyue 968A+. Works well enough for me. Someone like Louis Rossman, professional mac repair technical and owner of a shop as well as a youtuber prefers either the Atten ST-862D or the Quick 861DW. I think he prefers the Atten and as a bonus, it's less expensive. Links below for all mentioned.
