Did you buy the Hydroguard yet? I been using Southern AG, its cheaper, more concentrated and one bottle will last years. Also, you really are going to need a digital pH meter. Get yourself an Apera PH20 from Amazon. I just started DWC also and this is the meter I got and it works great. I did a lot of research before getting one also. If you can afford a Apera PH60 get that instead, its probe is replaceable where the PH20 one is not. If you get the PH20 just make sure you get storage solution for the probe.
Buy this:
You need a ph tester. Get an Apera PH20 from Amazon. The Regular Kit + Solution for $62.40 comes with everything you need. It comes with 4.0 and 7.0 calibration solution so you would have all the things. Its the same thing I just got and it works great. I'm just starting with DWC also.
I have the apera pH60, but the lower priced ones are just as good.
Mine has three different replaceable probes that are sold separately, is why it cost more.
Here's the pH 20. Get the storage solution option and use it. Best way to get more life.
I forget exactly, but it emits ions and the solution somehow helps with degradation of the probe. IDK.
No they are garbage. If you are on a budget get a Apera PH20 from Amazon.
