Apocalypse: Generic System by Macronomicon (me)
Kind of a poke at the old spear-chucker and punch-wizard. Most people seem to like it.
Apocalypse: Generic System MC has to get the Squad together to survive the tutorial. An assassin, a swinger couple and a necromancer weeb walk into a bar.
Apocalypse: Generic System fits your broad specifications.
Written by me, so take this with a grain of salt.
Actual world, Mc hyperspecs magic, telekinesis + a little extra that makes it a thinky kind of character.
Decent sized group of unique characters attempt to get through the Impossible Tutorial...by cheating.
Generally well received.
You motivated me. Author is a pseudonym "Macronomicon"
But here the first book is on the Kindle store. Relatively short, and only 4 books published so far (in the last 2 years), but I'm glad you brought it up because now I want to reread them.

I would recommend stitched worlds by Macronomicon. It's a pretty good series! I guess there was some sort of lawsuit over the original series name so that's why it's calles apocalypse and stitched worlds.
Great series. But it is not really strategic. It is more opportunity. But he tries to target the opportunities. Its a great series one of my favorites but this mechanic starts after book and is not the core of the plot.
Apocalypse: Generic System, by Macronomicon, is fantastic and starts with a tutorial. Four books in the series so far, and all are quality. That said, he chooses the Impossible difficulty tutorial, so its a rough time. The payoff is worth it though imo, the MC has a really interesting class and is actually smart and strategic in what he does.
I liked Apocalypse Generic System. It's got a fairly neat way that magic works, and the main character does quite a bit of brainstorming/manipulation to end up with his power set. The ending wasn't my favorite but it's a long book and there are two more in the series that I haven't read yet. Personally, I had a lot of fun with this book when I read it.

This is Apocalypse generic system. It started on RR but has 2-3 books on kindle right now. link
I think the story might be finished after this last arc, because he has started a new story on his patreon.
Apocalypse Generic System By Macronomicon (me)
MC is a little older and wiser, has to work with his head and other people to beat an impossible tutorial.
Is on kindle unlimited
Started as a poke at people who always choose the spear instead of speccing magic, and anti-punch wizard in general, became bigger than the sum of its parts. People have generally found it to be humorous and original, despite the premise being done to death.
I have no unbiased opinion, being the guy who wrote it, but I hope the reviews convince you to give it a shot.
Apocalypse: Generic System By Macronomicon
It’s got light Litrpg if you can stomach that, and (according to reviews) a pretty good balance of humor to grim.
A lot of people have said it’s a good blend of humor and action. I don’t know, I’m too close to see it objectively. (Author here)
Just put out my first book on kindle last month.
Apocalypse: Generic System by Macronomicon has been completed and released as a Kindle book. I thought it was consistently strong and the ending was a good balance of being self-contained and leaving some room for a sequel or sequels. The author would be well served to contain his other works a bit more as he did with this one.
Not sure If you want just kindle options or if you are happy with ongoing works found on RR or the like but let's hope.
Isekai- I may or may not be using this term correctly, but I think I am. I mean portal flick where a modern day regular Joe is plonked in swords n sorcery world.
These are the things that I keep up to date on.

Delve- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/25225/delve
Isekai Litrpg about a man called rain, who becomes an aura mage. Very light combat, good world/character building and progression.
Azarinth healer- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/16946/azarinth-healer
This is another Isekai Litrpg, where the protag becomes a battle healer/pyromancer (heavy on the battlehealer stuff tho). Fantastic world and characters, fast updates.
Defiance of the Fall- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/24709/defiance-of-the-fall
This is a system integration flick, with Litrpg and cultivation elements. The protag is a melee based fighter who is a mortal (cannot cultivate normally) and spawns on his own when the system is first integrated.
The Wandering Inn- https://wanderinginn.com/
Even if you don't really want to read an ongoing work, still look at this!!!
This is a combat light (initially, it has its peaks and troughs) Isekai Litrpg that follows a variety of characters through the books. The main character is a woman called Erin. She runs an Inn. Stuff happens. I don't want to say too much so the reviews stay short but this is a really good story and is also very long (think millions of words) but still updates regularly.
Worth the candle- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/25137/worth-the-candle
This is a grimdark (in places) litrpg where the main character is taken into a world of his own creation.
This is because he was a dungeon master in his life on earth and created hundreds of monsters cities campaigns etc for his players. However, he also has gone through a dark place recently with a friend dying, so the more recent stuff has been somewhat awful.
Very good to read, but a very slow updater too.
Ar'Kendithyst (? Spelling is hard) - https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/26727/arkendrithyst
Isekai litrpg
Man and his daughter are placed into a system based world, he uses his modern man brain to revolutionise (parts of) magic.
Dungeon Crawler Carl- This one's published and on KU
Earth is turned into a dungeon by a galactic megacorp based on a contract from when humanity was barely getting going. If you beat the dungeon you get to keep the planet, while the whole thing is televised intergalactically. Carl is a regular bloke along with his (ex- girlfriend's) pet cat.
Hilarious read, and when you finish the first 2 books, the third is on Royal Road to read while it is published.
He Who Fights With Monsters- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/26294/he-who-fights-with-monsters
Jason, the protag, gets Isekai'd to another reality where he is attacked by evil cultists with trowels. He gains a system, an apocalypse beast and some good friends. Very funny writing but takes itself seriously too. Good read with a good world.
Apocalypse: Generic System- https://www.amazon.com/Apocalypse-Generic-System-Macronomicon-ebook/dp/B08PW28MKC
Another one published on amazon, very well written, innovative idea for powers and combat.
If you enjoy the writing, the author also writes a separate LitRPG on RR:
Wake of the ravager https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/25878/wake-of-the-ravager
It has Harem elements( MC ends up with 2 wives) , but to the best of memory it isn't any more NSFW than flirting and suggestive comments. Cool system too, where you "Level" in places where there is lots of energy (released from killing). So large scale battles or slaughter etc.
Ben's Damn Adventure- https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/32411/bens-damn-adventure-the-prince-has-no-pants ALSO PUBLISHED ON AMAZON
This is a system integration novel, with a nice twist. Humanity has already beaten the "game" once before, which is how they left the system the 1st time. Hilarious writing and a good cast of characters for the MC's party.
Very light on the system part of the story (at least in the levelling and ability management etc).
Sorry it is "The Stitched Worlds".
https://www.amazon.com/Apocalypse-Generic-System-Systems-Book-ebook/dp/B08PW28MKC
Recently been reading more of Qi=MC2, fun little sciency cultivation transmigration story. Currently on hiatus, but it's been a while since I last caught up so got a good number of chapters to read.
Listening to Macronomicon's Systems of the Apocalypse series (sorry, 'The Stitched Worlds' now) and it hasn't stopped impressing me yet. On book three already, gonna run out soon. Definitely in contention as one of my top fav sysapoc series to date.
Is this the series you’re talking about ?
>Stitched Worlds
Didn't even know that was the series name and got excited that it was a new series I didn't know about. Apocalypse: Generic Systems is what I know it as, and its brilliant!

I haven't tried Shared Insanity yet, I should at some point.
> Apocalpyse: Generic System
https://www.amazon.com/Apocalypse-Generic-System-Systems-Book-ebook/dp/B08PW28MKC
You should check out systems of the apocalypse:
https://www.amazon.com/Apocalypse-Generic-System-Systems-Book-ebook/dp/B08PW28MKC
Only one I can think of is "Generic System Apocalypse", which has the main character, Jeb, have a "core" (basically what his magic is) of telekinesis. Uses it frequently throughout the entire story.
It originated on RoyalRoad (https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35669/apocalypse-generic-system) but only the first chapter is there now, as he moved the books to Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08PW28MKC?tag=royalroad02-20). It's free if you have Kindle Unlimited.
The third book recently dropped, so in a couple of months, chapters of book 4 will begin to release on RoyalRoad.
Try it out. I think it's pretty good. Characters are kind of bland but the magic, system and whatnot seems pretty well thought out.
