I just bought this snare head a few weeks ago. I bought it because I have had good experience with Aquarian in the past (they make excellent bass drum heads), and because it claimed to A) make low-quality metal snare drums sound better and B) be extra-durable for really hard hitters (such as myself).
After a few weeks of using it, I can confirm both of these claims. The head sounds excellent on my mid-level metal snare drum. It added a depth to the snare sound that I haven't heard with other heads.
It is too early to say if it is extra durable or not, but so far it has been very strong, and I have been pounding the shit out of it. I hit really hard, especially on the snare drum, and it has taken it like a champ so far.
TL;DR - I only use Aquarian heads, not only because they look cool, but because they're a good compromise between cost and quality.
