I use the Aquatec CDP 8800, which came with the stock transformer made for that pump. It's typically best to use the transformer that was made to be paired with the specific pump. Note that it say it's 2 amps. You were running at 20 amps? Something is amiss. Maybe the pumps got f*cked up from the initial (not stock) transformer you used and won't work with the correct one now. It boosts mine too much in fact, I had to turn it down with the manual adjustment screw. The pump I linked is pretty commonly used for this function in the industry. I'd recommend the package I linked again, and if it busts right away you can return it to Amazon for free at least. FYI my setup has the booster before everything on my RODI unit. I believe that's what the instructions said to do.
