I'm familiar with wild Willie's they are pretty popular. Have you tried a better beard comb or even a beard straightener? If you haven't you could see if that helps with the tangles. You could also try a trim to fix any split ends or curls at the end you don't want.

Also for the dryness because you have a good amount of growth, your beard might need to be oiled maybe even twice per day. Morning and maybe night. Using the oil at night will help lock in more moisture. Also, maybe try lowering the temperature of your water only when washing your beard. Super hot water can make the hair dry out.
