What did you end up doing?
The guy that flipped my place just poked a hole into the side of the house and thru the wall into the living room.
I'm sure mice/rats/gerbils and small squirrels can walk right in.
I decided I'd cut the hole bigger, add beadboard then put in a low voltage wall mount and (in my case, I've added a second camera system) put in a gang plate with Cat6 for the 8 camera Swann NVR system and change the bottom Cat6 with 4 BNC connectors for the 4 camera original Swann system.
Because I added the wainscoting/beadboard, I was able to move the hole and cables to behind the TV stand, and then run shorter Cat6/BNC wires from the new outlet to the video recorders and stuff the excess cables inside the wall.
