I've only heard good things about Assimil. I'm also planning to use it when I learn Dutch in about 2 years time. Here is an Amazon Link . I'd even be willing to share mine with you (If I can find it). I use it for Spanish. No complaints.
The Hugo course is great as well. I also have it for Spanish. Want to use it when I'm done with the Assimil.
Also OP try to supplement assimil with a good grammar book as a reference. Always nice to have two resources. And maybe also Memrise as a vocab builder. There is an official dutch course.
Hope I could be of help !
This will level up your dutch skills to intermediate enough to where you can talk and have normal conversations.
English and french is great for netherlands, and soon you can speak dutch as it is close to english same goes for danish.
If you plan to live in netherlands, start learning dutch immediately instead of german. Both germany and netherlands speak great english.
German and english are close to dutch so it shouldnt take too much time. Order an assimil book on B2 dutch.
This book will get you to B2 reading and speaking.
Here is the paid version on Amazon, I don't really know where you would find a free version.
