I asked the same question here recently. I’m looking to get this one.
A fellow poster here said they have this same laptop and they can run Bannerlord on the highway settings.
honestly, probably not going to run super well on there, laptops can definitely run vr just fine at the higher level, but this seems to be an integrated graphics card. You're going to want a dedicated card for vr.
Try this out! this looks to be a decent size and shape for your needs, with the power to back it up. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-i5-10300H-Processor-FX506LH-AS51/dp/B09SVQ25XH?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
As others have said, that laptop won't run anything.
The main thing you need to consider is the GPU. Many laptops don't come with a dedicated GPU because most people don't need one. However, a dedicated GPU is a necessity for a gaming laptop. For $500 you don't have many options. You could get something like this for $650: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-i5-10300H-Processor-FX506LH-AS51/dp/B09SVQ25XH/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?keywords=gaming+laptop&qid=1664401436&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI4LjkwIiwicXNhIjoiOC40OCIsInFzcCI6IjcuMzIifQ%3D%3D&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos....
It's not an amazing deal but I just did a quick search. You can use that as a benchmark for the lowest specs you want to go with. Anything less than a GTX 1650 like that laptop has probably won't be able to run games like Red Dead. The laptop above would run Red Dead just fine at 60 FPS with some settings turned down.
Alternatively, if your budget can't stretch you may want to look into getting a Steam Deck. It starts at $399 and can run any game I've thrown at it at playable frame rates. I play Red Dead on mine and it runs just fine. You wouldn't want to be hooking it up to a monitor or anything like that though.
Yeah, the iGPU is probably what is killing you, and adding more RAM might help but I would not rely on it.
Here is a better budget gaming laptop, but I would still upgrade the RAM to 16GB:

That laptop works but the tuf gaming f15 has a 144hz monitor and more storage
It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.

Anyone spent something nice for Black Friday?
Originally figured I could take advantage of it to purchase a new desktop to replace an extremely old PC I've kept for over a decade and help with storage issues I've had with my current, economic computer.
One thing led to another and I ended up procrastinating for hours whether I should proceed or buy a gaming laptop instead. I decided on the gaming laptop, but I'm still feeling unsure of whether it was the right call. For anyone tech savvy to judge, I ordered this ASUS laptop instead of the Dell Inspiron desktop.
(Other things to note, larger storage space is the priority for me, but I can't imagine using ALL of it up any time soon. Not planning on doing extensive gaming or anything too taxing, but beefier specs are still nice regardless. And my PC keyboard and speakers aren't in good shape at all, so I suppose that'd be extra costs)
Spent almost 5 hours today pondering where I should grab a gaming laptop or a desktop with Black Friday deals going on. God I hate overthinking too much; I just wanted to get something to offset my cheaper computer that's been running low on storage for ages.
>!If anyone's curious for some reason, the choices were an ASUS TUF gaming laptop or a Dell Inspiron desktop. I choose the ASUS laptop. I'd like to think they're both beefy in their own rights and are roughly in the same price, but I feel like I'm having way more regrets about it than I should lol!<

This would work well:
If you want a better cpu, this ideapad has less storage but a better processor:
