I would suggest to study each subject in this study guide I linked. You’ll need to prepare well. Give yourself plenty of time to understand each subject. Good luck to you!
Am in SoCal also. Got in first round. Had As in anatomy, micro, chem, B in physiology. 93% in TEAS.
I’ll say it depends on the school you’re applying school. Some put more weight on different things, like work experience and overall GPA, for example. Others focus more on the specific required science prereqs. Most schools I found to be point based, with each line item being different points.
Focus on getting a good TEAS grade, and it seems like you’ll be a good candidate to get in right off the bat. I primarily studied with [this study guide ](www.amazon.com/dp/1516703839/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_SXK672N7FCMSNDRSCESX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) and my prereq notes.
It is also important to realize that your getting in also depends on competitiveness of the other people applying, so you want to set yourself up accordingly. Go to nursing information sessions at different schools.
I was a part of this FB group is called “ATI TEAS 6 TEST - STUDY GROUP.” It’s loaded with resources and practice questions. I also used a study book from amazon a little bit but the a lot of the stuff from the book is in the FB group, along with helpful videos and charts. I literally studied 2-3 days before the test and scored a 78. That group saved my ass and a lot of the practice material will be on the test so practice as much as you can. The people are also a great support system.

I just got in the 98th percentile last Friday (nineties reading, 100 math, 100 English, seventies science).
I used the Mometrix TEAS secrets book. You can buy it on Amazon, but I just went to my local CC library and checked it out.
I also really, really liked the app called ATI TEAS Pocket Prep.
About a week out, I decided to pay for one practice test. It was super helpful and exactly like the test.
Not sure what do you mean exactly by "free recourses" but my wife bought this book from Amazon, and she studied grade 12 science, math and chemistry.
