As others have suggested maps would likely be very much appreciated.
You might consider Joan Blaeu's Altas Maior. You could either get a wall map like this one (my personal favourite): https://www.art-prints-on-demand.com/cgi-bin/apod#rahmenanker
Or you could get a modern copy of the actual atlas: https://www.amazon.com/Joan-Blaeu-Atlas-Maior-1665/dp/3836524112
There are also some nice prints available from the British Library shop:https://shop.bl.uk/collections/maps
I have collected antique maps for some years, I would recommend that you start focusing on a time period, map maker and/or a region that you find interesting. Then expand your knowledge when you find other stuff that excites you :)
If you have not seen it, check out the BBC documentary The Beauty of Maps
Oldworldauctions is currently running an auction. They have a good newsletter and some good information on their web site as well: oldworldauctions
This site has a nice selection of antique maps if you consider to start collecting: Barry Lawrence Ruderman Antique Maps
