They seem great, thanks. Though they're a bit over what I was hoping to spend. Do you know if there's any reason not to get the cheaper Japan-imported version?

I think they came out with a newer model. I owned these a long time ago, they really sizzle on the highs. Will make your ears bleed if you listen to treble heavy music. They dont hold up well in the long term. The wood finish is really nice though.

Planning on buying the JBL LSR305 active monitor speakers. Is it possible to connect these speakers to both my windows desktop (asrock z87 pro motherboard) and macbook pro (2017 model: two usb-c + headphone jack)?

I want to be able to switch between both and have an indpedent volume knob. I also have the need for a headphone jack to drive my ATH MSR7.

I do already have a SMSL M3 which is a DAC/AMP. I am also thinking to buy a Schiit SYS to use as a splitter between my desktop and macbook pro.

Would the following setup work:

windows desktop + macbook pro --> schiit SYS --> SMSL M3 --> JBL LSR305

• Can I use these headphone jack to dual rca cables from both my desktop and macbook pro to connect to the schiit SYS?
• Will I be able to control the volume of my JBL LSR305 speakers through the volume knob of the Schiit SYS?
• Will I be able to use my ATH MSR7 headphones with the SMSL M3 and control the volume with the knob of the SMSL M3?
• When no headphone is plugged into the SMSL M3, I want music to be played from the JBL LSR305 speakers. Will this happen?

I am fairly new to the audio world so I'm unsure if this setup will work or is just plain stupid. Feedback is really welcome!

Any specific outlet your recommend to buy them from?

Audio Technica MSR7. Got them in November, and they're fantastic especially for a music lover like me. I have them in gunmetal/red, so they're sexy too.
