What is Reddit's opinion of Audio Technica ATHADG1 Open-Back Gaming Headset?

If you don't mind putting some money down then I found the mic on these are truly awesome and the game sound quality is also. Failing that a regular pair of Turtle Beach headphones with mic will be fine on a budget.

I have one of my Xbox One's setup with Creative Labs speakers so do something similar to you, have the speakers on loud but have the headphones on with chat only. One thing to mention is if you're going down this route get open back headphones like the ATH-ADG1's most Turtle Beach and gaming headsets are closed back which means you won't hear the gaming audio from your speaker stereo system as well.

ATH-ADG1s. They're the brother to the ATH-AG1's, which is basically the same thing but closed-back. Both are fantastic headsets, look amazing, actually have a good mic, and have come way down in price from what they originally launched at.

If money isn't the most important factor to you, I would recommend looking into something like these. You'd need to purchase the headset adapter separately but IMO it's worth it

Yes, but you need the Turtle Beach Advanced Controller Plus. You won't get microphone though. Personally I went with the (a lot more expensive) version of the ATH-ADG1, well worth it but they are a lot of money.
