Also applying your products with a denman brush might help too.
Have you tried Aunt Jackie's Anti-shrinking gel? We use that with a heavier moisturizing cream and some black jamaican castor oil on the ends for my son's hair and it reduces shrinkage.

This. My curl pattern is very similar to OP and I always do my hair right after getting out of the shower.
Mixing a small amount of products like Aunt Jackie's flaxseed gel or Cantu's define & shine custard in with my leave-in and brushing that through my hair go a long way.
Argan oil seems to help me with shrinkage, and flaxseed jelly is also known for this. Your shrinkage isn't that pronounced. I have a lot of shrinkage too, the curlier your hair is the more shrinkage you are likely to have.
