No worries, am a bit high and took a bit to locate the link 😅
It is a cheap device and has its limitation but I find it very functional and works great especially with smaller pot that doesnt need much flow to evenly saturate coco.
I still havent perfected using it but I have two of these running and so far, i love it.
Just one small recommendation on solo grow, if you are using coco for your medium as I do, you will notice that root volume is taking significant portion of the cup around 1~2 week of flowering. Around this time, plant really appreciate frequent feeding. I hand feed my solo plants 2~3 times per day during veg till 1~2 week of flower then use my cheap auto feeder to feed them every 1~2 hours till slight runoff. I can usually tell much more growth as soon as I start using the feeder. I try not to use early one as I want the plant to have root structure established first to really appreciate the feeding.
I amend my soil so I just water, no Nutes in my water. I was a little skeptical of this little guy until I got it. Now I own 2.

My biggest tip, YouTube how to use it, at least when I had bought one 5 years ago, the buttons was in Chinese. Looks like they changed it to English now though.

It’s this one, Automatic Watering System, DIY... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086BHHPR3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It doesn’t move enough water so it’s on 30sec every 5 hours as a supplement, and in case I can’t water them for a day or so. I’ve noticed if my Mephs dry out too much they like to flower.
These little guys are cheap and super-quiet. I’ve been running a couple for about six months and they have been reliable. The kit comes with everything you need to feed about a dozen small plants or a few large ones.[
Check out this: https://www.amazon.com/Automatic-Watering-Irrigation-Operation-Programming/dp/B086BHHPR3/ref=asc_df_B086BHHPR3/ it’s a watering system, and you can set up the water frequency ever 4-5 days and you can chose how many seconds it will water for. I did that when I left for a month in the summer and my plants didn’t die
Thanks! solos have been great, and actually this is the first time I am having problem with solo grow. Before I transitioned to solo, I gave a test run by hand watering it 4~5 times per day and yielded 1.3 oz. This convinced me solo as a legitimate grow container and transitioned to use mostly solos for grow to accommodate my small space. I usually get 1.5 oz +, 2.5 oz + on really heavy yielding strains. I nowadays use a cheap automated feeder in the link below and have it scheduled every 2~3 hours till slight runoff.
Thanks. I tried for the longest time to get GG, it was next to impossible, that’s how I settled with Roots organic. I actually prefer roots over GG because it has a higher Nitrogen percentage than GG. I do however use silica blast too. Recharge is ok. If feel like it’s just a powdered version of molasses. I actually haven’t used airports yet. That’s the next thing to try.
Here is the drip unit I used. Simple, easy to set up and program. Only manual watering I did was with the kelp, guano and molasses feeds.

After spending a ton on quality submersible pumps, drip manifolds, timers and PVC fittings, I found that one of these does an equivalent job at 1/3 the price and is a lot more versatile. I just bought a second one.
I have a slightly bigger footprint, 60x60 and depending on the size of the plant, i can accomodate 2-4 plants. I use a cheap autofeeder below to keep them fed very frequently, i think i left some notes on comment section the feed i use and how i feed them.
With this method, i can consistetly get 1.5oz average per plant usually, but bigger ones can exceed 3 oz as in this plant. I think coco would suit you better in your enviroment as it allows you to maximiaze yield with same given room compared to soil.

I mean, a fire is not going to start just because youre not there. If your juice draw is safe wattage wise vs amp on line, there should be no hazard. Are you in soil? If so, you might be able to get away with a heavy watering and come back to thirsty plants that need watered right away. If youre concerned about it, youll either need a bud to check in and water on day 3 or 4, or use something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086BHHPR3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_G16TMFT97FHJG00CM3RV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Haha, thanks. I am operating two of these auto feeders w/ different schedule of feed for my perpetual grow setup. I've been using them for about half a year and while they are not perfect, they work as I expected and has been a dream for feeding girls in tiny container. In seedling stage, they do not seem need much light/feed, so I manually water them once or twice using small syringe (20~30 ml at once) per day in a spare space tote I have.
Once they start flowering, that's when I move girls from space tote to my main tent and hook the auto feeder on to full throttle (feed every 3 hours till runoff). It would be easier if my tent was taller for clearing runoff but due to the limited height, I have to be diligent to prevent root rot. Other than that, girls really love frequent feeding in coco especially in a tiny container as her's :) Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sure, this is what I use for my setup. For price, can't really complain much.
I use auto feeder to feed them up to every 1~2 hours during full bloom.

Sure thing. I am running 2 of these and just keep in mind they are cheap device and will need to constant check in its functionality but for price, I got no complaints.

I run 2 of these for plants in different schedule. I run it every 2-4 hours depending on runoff. It isn't expensive piece of tech so I try to frequently check its functionality but it hasn't really failed much for last 6 months, once at worst that i can think of and fixing it was easy, just clean it up with chlorinated water.
Yup, just copying/pasting another reply I posted.

It's not too late. ;)
My Tomato plants are doing pretty well considering the 5 days of 100+ temperature's. The automated watering system gives them water every hour and only costs ~$30 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086BHHPR3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Trick is to make sure they never dry out. Can be a challenge when plants get big. I use one of these. The nice part of breeding in solo cups is you can get a lot of different strains in a small tent.
I went away for a week on day 14 of flower and watered my plant with this Automatic Irrigation System, DIY... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086BHHPR3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Worked well. On day 35 now still chugging along.
These little drip irrigators are the cat’s ass. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B086BHHPR3

It's really nothing special, i use cheap auto feeder from amazon, keep 5 feed bucket hooked up, and connect feeder to each plant. I like to have at least a slight run off every feed to ensure roots are always moist and fed.
I grow in coco/perlite and use below auto feeder to feed frequently.

Link below is the one i am using. I have 2 of these running to accommodate plants in different stage. They are cheap and definitely not perfect but still very satisfied with the result.

Thank you! I am using a cheap device from amazon, which you can find from the link below. I have used this device for 3~4 months and there were some learning curves and still learning to use the device to best mimic hand watering, but for the price tag, I have no complaints. I have used this device on bigger pots (.8 gallon) than solo cup and with some workaround and precautions, it does the job very well.
Since it is a cheap device, I try to check its functionality occasionally checking if all drip tips are working, but it really is a life saver compared to when I was hand watering my girls 5 times a day.

I am still learning every steps I am taking as I only started growing early this year when pandemic started and in same situation, living in apartment. I only grow autoflower strains due to ease of maintenance and quicker turnaround. What I have learned is size is mainly determined based on not only the size of pot but how you train the plants. I started only doing LST but after understanding how much stress cannabis plants can take, I've been keep playing around with different training methods and currently, I do mainline on autos for ease of keeping even canopy and maximizing small estate (2x2 tent). I prefer varieties than yield, so I am growing 4 of my girls in single tent in .8 gallon pot. I am growing my girls in coco/perlite with high frequency irrigiation, feeding them once every 4 hours until slight runoff. The biggest advice I have is always take any information with grain of salt. There is still alot of bro science floating around in growing community (such as flushing) and don't be afraid to deviate from guide, you will find much better way that works for you! Here is one of my recent harvests in my setup, now I have so much weed but i cannot stop growing!

Sorry for not replying to all your comments yesterday, i got consumed with work and was bit overwhelmed so i think it would be better to leave as much as i can in the comment. She was initally growing in a solo cup and around 3rd~4th week, i got oddish pot so transplanted her then. Started LST after transplanting her and lots of pruning/defoliation was done to ensure all budsight can get light exposure. Nothing special, she just grew like a champ. I had to move her from main tent with QB lighting to my spare tote as she was getting to big for the tent. Happy friday!
I am just using cheap automatic watering device from amazon. For 30 bucks, i really cannot ask more lol

Do you use an auto-water pump?
I got one for my patio and it’s saved my ass a few times.
You can set the length of watering and the frequency. I use my to water for a minute every hour and the batteries last me 2-3 weeks.
They run $20-$60.
