I did this mod to my 2019 SE. I didn’t change out the housings to the ones found in the SEL. I bought the parts listed below and then went ahead and popped the whole thing in. I had to cut a small slit in the rubber housing covers to let the wires out for the connectors, which I zip tied to near by hard points with breathing room. Once powered on I can hear the fans kick in and I have no error codes of any kind.

A word of caution: since the SE doesn’t have projector lenses, you will become one of those ass holes that looks like they stole airport runway lights and bolted them into their car because the reflector housings are not designed for that kind of light output. I did it because I live in the country and it’s dark out here.... or at least that’s what I tell myself to justify being said ass hole.

As a bonus, I also swapped in white LED front turn signals which surprising did not require any resistor relay to stop the fast blinking.

Here is what I put in my 2014 NA veloster. The adapter ring is needed to fit the factory headlight housing. These leds come with the resistors. They are a tight fit with the dust cap but they do fit.
