I always recommend Ball freezer jars for storing grounds. They're super durable, easy to open and close, and stay sealed pretty well to help keep things fresh. Plus the color would match your grinder!
I have used 8-oz. plastic Ball freezer jars. I used yogurt, Carnation Instant Breakfast and frozen fruit -- blend and divvy up for a week. I would either transfer one from freezer to fridge the night before or grab it frozen and drink it at work. Shaking them usually corrected separation, and I don't remember being grossed out by the mouthfeel (I totally know what you mean though).
Ball actually makes freezer containers. They're designed to allow liquids to expand without damaging the containers.
I use these plastic freezer containers and am very happy with them.
I make my own coconut oil based "body wash" basic recipe is 1 cup coconut oil + 2 tablespoons other oil (olive, almond, jojoba, avocado) + 2 Tablespoons castille soap (I use Dr Bronners https://www.drbronner.com/DBMS/category/LIQUIDSOAP.html) And 15-30 drops whatever essential oil I want at the time. Lately 10 grapefruit, 10 lavender and 10 something else citrusy. I found the base recipe somewhere, but I don't remember where to give proper credit. I whip it up in my stand mixer with the whisk attachment. I keep it in one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Ball-Jar-16-Ounce-Plastic-Freezer/dp/B007BVFXI0 in the shower since glass + shower isn't a good idea. Any that doesn't fit in the plastic "jar" goes into the fridge until I need to refill. I used to have dry itchy skin, and now I don't.
