Same here. Not grocery stores, but my local Orchard Supply Hardware usually has them, especially in canning season.

These “pint and a half jars” have straight sides and a lot of capacity.

I actually have 6qt and 8qt - primarily for cooking.

I can fit 3 quart masons in the 8qt IP.
