I bought a new IB last year and after doing extensive research, I bought the Bamix: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008NCR0VY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I like SE as a food website but like few of their tool recommendations. Wirecutter just recommends the most popular stuff on Amazon most of the time. So I did a lot of research. From what I remember the A/C IB is super powerful, like 500W or something. This is too much power, and creates so much suction that the tool is hard to use. I don't remember why I didn't go with Breville; for the most part I like Breville tools. But the Bamix is the original IB. All the internal parts are stainless steel (with many brands, you get plastic gears), and this thing is just built like a tank. A lot of the reviewers were replacing a Bamix they had owned for 2 or 3 decades. It's a great tool.
