I used the one in the book Be Iron Fit by Don Fink. It's on Amazon as eBook or hard copy. He had three plans, a beginner just finish plan, intermediate and an advanced plan. What I liked about his training plans were they were time based vs distance based. So instead of run 6 miles it was run for 1hr at zone 2 pace. Or bike 5 hrs and at 4 hrs add in tempo every 15 min etc.. This helped as I was fitting my training into an already packed schedule. Knowing what I was doing and for exactly how long helped in planning my workouts.
I'll be doing my first Ironman October 9th at Louisville and I used his intermediate plan.

Yep. My wife works from home. So she works when I'm at the gym. I come home, take a shower, and the rest of the night is her's. We usually watch a show or two together. Seems to work out well for us. You'll figure out what works for you. I'm not sure what your goals are but there is a great book called 'Be Iron Fit' by Don Fink that will take you from nothing to being able to do a full Iron Man in 30 weeks. Has tons of great info in it. http://smile.amazon.com/Be-Iron-Fit-Time-Efficient-Training/dp/1599218577
I bought the book IronFit by Don Fink (http://smile.amazon.com/Be-Iron-Fit-Time-Efficient-Training/dp/1599218577). It has three plans included (Competitive, Intermediate, and Just Finish). I'm doing the Intermediate plan (so shooting for a 12 hour full). I've done a few long sprints and an Olympic. Scheduled to do a HIM next August and the Full IM in November.
I did my first full last year and followed the plan laid out in Don Fink's "Be Iron Fit" and had some pretty good success. I started with the goal to follow the "competitive program" but due to work and other life things it ended up being a hybrid of the competitive and intermediate programs. There is a lot of good information in there on top of the training plans like pacing, fueling, and nutrition. I definitely recommend it if hiring a coach is not an option.
