Not as cheap as fasttech, but I've been using this for a couple weeks and it's clean. Plus, if you have Prime it takes a couple days, not months. 26g is just right for me.
I got mine from amazon.
Edit: Sorry was talking about 316l but heres a link if you would wanna try it http://www.amazon.com/Beadalon-Round-Stainless-Steel-20-Meter/dp/B001R8I5T2/ref=pd_sim_201_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41gAI-cO89L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1H6P37H20XCBTH1TH4XM
I was given some Gplat 24g too. From what i understand from all the posts ive read here and elsewhere is that Gplat is a form of 317L (SS welding wire). 316L is a surgical SS which is also used in jewelry making. I really liked the Gplat but there was no way i was going to pay those kinds of prices so after some research i settled on 316L.
Its a pretty fantastic wire, the ramped up time is pretty low and as it has less resistance per foot you require more, more surface area = more clouds and flavor. I order it from Amazon.
The down side is that its not magnetic, got to be careful where the pieces fly when you clip it.
On Amazon? Here you go: 26g 316L :)
You could try SS 316L/317L, what some testing indicates is Gplat and other high end wire It provides a cooler vape, i use 26g 316L @.3 ohms and it is nice and cool. You can get 65 feet on Amazon for under ten dollars delivered.
Also the lower the gauge the cooler the vape with Kanthal so your coils using 26g would be significantly cooler. But 316L/317L would be cooler still.
EDIT: You can use Steam Engine to check temps of coils.
