Just one more question - would something like this do it?
I'm inclined to buy something like this as I've never soldered anything before, so the long cord strikes me as full of opportunities for me to screw up and still have cord to work with.
I assume you're using the antenna to boost a WiFi signal outdoors from a box indoors.

Just like the outdoor portion of the coax, the indoor portion will connect to a male RP-SMA port on my router.
you will need some kind of amplifier between the router / indoor box and the antenna
Is this because the signal degrades along the length of the cable? If so, I should mention that the antenna will be placed about six feet from the router (plus the 11ft of the antenna cable).
Also, maybe for WiFi extender.
(In general, they are the same antennas)
