I live in an old house and used to have a similar roach problem. Every exterminator who came over was useless, so here's my method of roach control if you don't have any house pets. First, use Bengal. This will cause the roaches to come crawling out of every place they can. The next step is to seal up any cracks or holes where they get in. Then, spray more Bengal once or twice a year to keep them at bay.

This spray is great too. It's a powder and not a liquid. If you spray it around the outside of your doors and windows, it's good at preventing them from coming inside.

started seeing some results with boric acid - the little ones are starting to die off. i was skeptical at first but it seems to be taking foot. i'm gonna pick up a can of this stuff after work as well https://www.amazon.com/BENGAL-CHEMICAL-Roach-Spray-92464/dp/B0015I3ESG this has some of the best reviews i've seen on a roach killer so i've got high hopes.
