I like this mount for positioning it over the stem. It's like a K-Edge but cheaper. You'll likely need a couple spacers above the stem, then this mount, but that's easy to do.
I don't like the top cap mounts as it's easy to hit the computer with your knees and either hit buttons or break it.
Also, nth-ing the tether. Protect your bike computer both from impacts and loss; they aren't cheap.
I use three different mounts. One for the mountain bike, and another for the road bike.
I use this one on the mountain bike, as it won't put the unit in danger if I nose dive. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N1QVGNM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I use this on on my road bike, as I also have a camera in the front, and it combines things quite nicely. It also feels less cluttered. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H89P2CJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I also like that it's metal.
I use the stock one on my commuter bike, as I find it the least pretty/reliable/flexible for my needs. I actually use it facing backwards so the unit is over my stem.
