I just received my "ATT Wireless Internet" hotspot. $200 for the device, and $100 per month for 100GB per month of data. No contract. It works nicely. I think this is the only device for which they offer the 100GB data plan.

The device is model is IFWA-40 and it supports external antennas, so I have one connected and mounted atop my van. I don't think you can do better than that reception-wise.

I used something similar about a year ago and it worked great. I have Google Fi for my cell phone which is cheap so I don't mind having an additional bill for the dedicated hotspot service from ATT.

If you do purchase, just be absolutely sure they enter your correct email address in the order or all hell breaks loose, and make sure you take down the correct order number and phone number--don't rely on receiving that via email.
