I just had trachea shave with Dr. Courey in February and I’ve been using this silicone gel and massaging the scar in little circular motions twice a day. It seems to be helping!
i think 1 cm is perfect for most people, i feel like if they do any more it will look weird and i’m proportional to your face.
the first few days of healing are pretty bad because of the pain like a very intense headache but the pain pills help a ton.
my biggest tip is to ice it as much as you can! there’s some really nice cheap ice packs at cvs. i wouldn’t really recommend going back to work after a week although doctors can you can return you just don’t really feel 100% yet also the stitches and the scar is very noticeable in the few couple weeks. i also recommend getting this scar cream or something similar but that one is amazing.
also don’t feel discouraged if the results weren’t what you were hoping for in the first few weeks everything will come together in a few months. feel free to ask any questions and good luck!
It's more than an inch, mine is at least 2" - you really need to seriously take care of it, go buy https://www.amazon.com/bioCorneum-plus-Advanced-Scar-Supervision/dp/B00AV14GTE and put it on twice a day after the incision is healed (i.e. once it's sealed and isn't open), and also go hard on sunscreen
I didn't give any fucks about it and I live in California, and now my zombie chic look might be permanent (though faded)
